You can use the SqlDataSource and configure it to use the OleDbProvider which
can connect to a MDB database.

I posted this yesterday with a different email address. I am reposting with my fake-address as given to me by Microsoft so that I can be guraranteed a response from a support representative. Sorry for the repost. I'd like to make use of the asp:Wizard control to present a step-by-step guided experience for my user to fill out a complicated data-entry form. I'd like to make use of two-way databinding provided by the asp:FormView control...

I am using Visual Studio 2005 (ASP 2.0) to build a webpage that uses a Microsoft Access Database. The data in the database simply holds the information on a link to a document that I am storing on the website. The information is written into the webpage dynamically. That way when I add documents, I only have to update the database and not mess with the page itself. I am using AccessDataSource to link to the database. I first linked...

Hi, I'm using a gridview in my project and its footer to add new records. The gridview is connected to an AccessDataSource which contains select, insert and delete commands. The problem occurs when the AccessDataSource is empty, the gridview won't show at all, not even the footer so I can't add new data. I know I can give up on the footer and just create somelike myself

Hi, wasn't sure whether I should post this under .net, IIS or access, but I've plumped for .net! I have a problem with an asp.net website which I am hosting on a windows server 2003 under IIS 6.0. I am using an access database as the datasource for a gridview - this all works fine when I am running it on the development server in VWD 2005 express on my dev machine, but when I've uploaded the site to the server, I get a stack trace when...

I am in the unfortunate position of attempting to work with an Access database on a network share. My client has two separate access databases - one that contains all of the company's data and one that contains a full blown application (forms, module, reports, etc) that reads from the aforementioned data only access db. I've been tasked with developing a web page that displays data about customer service calls - all of the relevant data is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
