I have an asp application that needs to print to a
specific network printer. I am currently making it work
by using the FSO and setting the path to the printer
port, then writing out a string. The problem with that
is that all the formatting I can do is with line feeds
and tabs. Ideally, I'd like to pop open an html page on
the client machine, print it, then close it. Is there
any way to simulate calling window.print without pulling...

Admission first - I don't actually have a problem here but have noticed
that a lot of people have been asking similar questions and getting very
varied answers. What I've done is to sort of "compile the questions"
into a theoretical problem to see what people think should be done to
solve it.
Maybe it will be a worthwhile discussion, but more importantly maybe it
will find out the very best way to sort this kind of problem out so that...

Using WinXP & AccessXP, I'd like to automatically have the records that I've
just printed in a report automatically updated to have the 'print date &
time' immediately inserted into a 'Date/Time' field in the table of all of
the 'just printed' records. The crude way would be to run an Update Query
immediately before or immediately after printing on those records in the
report, but how would I have this done automatically when hitting the...

Hello, I have 7 different crystal reports that need to be collated.
Since I want to end up with a page of each (which all together make a
single report), I created a blank main report and then added the 7 as
subreports so they can print one after the other. I'm supposed to be
printing them from a VB.Net 2003 application and I will be passing 2
parameters (start and end dates). These reports are huge (over 1000+
pages each).
My original...

Greetings.
BACKGROUND:
My sites are pure XHTML 1.1 with CSS 2.1 for markup. My pages are
delivered as application/xhtml+xml for all non-MS web clients, and as
text/xml for all MS web clients (Internet Explorer).
My flash content was originally brought in via the “flash satay” method,
but I have since used some server-side magic do deliver one <objecttag

I want to create a button that will print multiple forms. Each form is
a list of various orders, and there are three separate forms:

I have an ASP.NET page that displays work orders in a GridView. In that
GridView is a checkbox column. When the user clicks a "Print" button, I
create a report, using the .NET Framework printing classes, for each of the
checked rows in the GridView. This works fine in the Visual Studio 2005
development environment on localhost. But, when I move the page to the web
server, I get the error "Settings to access printer...

Hi All,
I am working on a python script for my colleague that will walk a
directory and search in the different files for a specific string.
These pieces I am able to do. What my colleague wants is that when
she runs the script the filename is replaced by the current file that
is being processed. So instead of seeing a series of files being
listed down the page, she only wants to see the file currently being
processed.
I am not sure...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
