Dear Snake Charming Gurus,
(Was: http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2004-January/204454.html)
First, a thank you to Tim Golden, Thomas Heller, and Mark Hammond
for your earlier help with this problem. I am uncertain about what
etiquette calls for, but more on that later.
My Objective:
I am trying to control the _VMWare Desktop_ application

Hello all,
I am getting records from a db and displaying the records to the user
through a drop down menu in an asp page.
Each record has 6 fields and I need to display them all to the user in
the drop down.
The problem is that the fields contain values of all different lengths
and the columns are not aligned.

I can't find any support for frames in the asp:menu control. Not the Target
frame, but displaying sub-menus across a frame boundary. There are lots of
3rd party Menu tools that do this. I have a small horizontal frame that
contains the first level of menus and I want second level of menus to display
in another frame. I am not finding any references on how to do this on the
web. Help!

I'm having a difficult time making the transition to .NET. I came up with
some projects to get me started and, in every case, they involved tasks that
were apparently difficult to accomplish and/or difficult to get information
about.
One item is a menu that is based on a database. My thinking is that I would
create some custom controls that query the database and display several
menus based on the data. I posted questions about this...

Hi,
I am trying to create two custom menu bars for my application, one for
read-only users (without delete record), and one for update-access
users (with delete record).
I only need File and Edit options. File will be the same on both, but
Edit will have different options.
When I create an Edit menu on the custom menu bar, and then modify it,
it seems to also be changing the Edit menu on the other custom menu,

I'm working on a plotting control. The plotting control will have a context
menu with basic commands for "scaling", "zooming", etc. Is there a way
that, from the parent form, I can add more commands to the control's context
menu?
I'm envisioning a case where the control has a set of context menu items,
and the parent form also has a set of context menu items.
Thanks.

I created a user control that handles certain keystrokes, e.g. Ctrl-C for
cut, Ctrl-V for paste, plus other more specialized keystrokes. I want to list
these in the menubar like any other menu items. Once I assign a Shortcut Key
to the menu item, that menu sees the event before the control, as one would
expect. The question is, then, inside the menu item handler what code do I
need to pass on the keystroke to a control? This is slightly...

Hello,
I'm a newbie in php.
I would like to show a popup menu on my website and update the page when
the user has changed its selection.
I have looked over the Internet but haven't found what I want
(apparently, "Popup menu" is not the correct term, but it's the one I
use in "desktop" programming).
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
