Does vb.net have a listbox with a checkbox style like in vb6? I didn't
even see a style option under properties. I'm just starting in .net
and am trying to port an existing application over.
Thanks,
Bill

Hello;
I am creating a multiselect listbox and I would like to use checkboxes
to indicate which items are selected (rather than the default highlighting.)
I would then place these selected items in a table.
I would also like to have the ability to "select all" and "deselect all".
Any help on accomplishing the above would be greatly appreciated. Thanks;

I have a textbox in my Win form that can be filled when a user chooses an
emplcode from a combobox and when the value is returned from another form
(double-clicks on a separate listbox).
What event can I use to find out how the textbox got filled? In my case, if
the textbox is filled when the user double-clicked on a separate listbox,
I'd like to run VerifyEmp() method. If it's via the combobox or by hand, I
don't do anything.

Hello All
I have a Datalist where each "Item" contains a checkbox (among other
things). I want the user to be able to click on one or more
checkboxes, click the Send button, and have something done to the
Items that had the check boxes selected. Seems like a common task. I
was easily able to do something like this in classic ASP. But I'm
lost in ASP.NET.
I´m using VB and I hope you can point me in the right direction...

Hi,
I have a listbox called lstFolders.
I select the folder names from a database and return them in ascending
order.
However, when I do the listbox.items.insert(0, new instance)
method, the items that are supposed to come back on in ascending order
are the exact opposite order. The first one is at the bottom of the list.

I'm adding items to a CheckBoxList Control, and need the text in each
checkbox list item to be a specific color. Here's what I'm trying:
ListItem li = new ListItem(GroupName, GroupID);
li.Attributes.Add("ForeColor", GroupColor);
GroupList.Items.Add (li);
When viewing the produced HTML... there is no ForeColor attribute
being added. My guess is because each list item is really comprised
of two items: 1) CheckBox and 2) A label...

I'm using ASP.NET 2.0 and am still struggling. I use the following code
to reorder items in a listbox. When complete, a Save button saves each
item to a database. Works fine for the first click (runat=Server) but on
subsequent use the item just seems to go anywhere...usually to the top
of the list.
PLEASE, how can I accomplish this using a listbox control and code (not
javascript)?
Dim mSelectedIndex, mOtherIndex As Integer

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
