cant access project on a deployment server

Hi peeps

I'm trying to access my project/solution files from Visual C#. The solution
has been moved from my development server to the client's server, and I'm
taking my machine in with me to the client.

The problem is that the solution file says it cant find the projects. The
sln file has a project as been at...

http://server/webapp/webapp.csproj

Obviously, the server name will have changed, so I changed it to the
client's server

http://dserv/webapp/webapp.csproj

However, when I do this, VC# complains that the paths dont match! It doesn't
work if I use the IP addy of the server, either.

How can I access the moved solution? I need to do this to add in some AD
role based stuff, which I can only do on their server. It's also VC# (not VS)
so I dont have many deployment options.

Help!

Cheers
Dan

Hi, I'm a bit confused ... when would I rather write an database application using MS Access and Visual Basic and when (and why) would I rather write it using Visual Studio .Net? Is it as easy in Visual Studio to create reports and labels as it's in Access?` The advantage of VS.net is that not every user needs Access, right? And that would eliminate the Access version problem as well I guess.

I am trying to convince a client that dotNet is preferable to an Access project (ADP/ADE). This client currently has a large, pure Access MDB solution with 30+ users, which needs to be upgraded. I believe a dotNet solution is better, but I'm trying to be as convincing as possible -- and maybe I'm wrong! I would appreciate any input or references which could help me.

An application I wrote has been deployed on Citrix, and the Citrix admin tells me all users run the same .mde file. There aren't a lot of concurrent users, but even 2 could be cause for concern. I think the use of globals is worrisome in this case. Anybody have any experience with Access on Citrix? (Al Kallal already griped me out about globals, but if he has anything new to add I'm all ears).

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
