Dynamic Image Generation Service VB 1.1

pbb
I saw an old post where a guy (Moondaddy) converted Dino Esposito's code for
dynamically generating an image in ASP.NET 1.1 from C# to VB. The basic gist
of the code is that you can stream an uploaded image to an image control
without having to save it as an image file to the hard drive and first and
pass the url to the control. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the
VB rendition of this code? Here's a link to the MSDN Mag. article and the C#
code: http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/is...4/CuttingEdge/

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am working on a graphical heading generator for a clients website as their server does not have the GD library or similar plugins for dynamic image generation. I have achieved the result partly, from a snipet I found in the user contributions to the "str_replace" function in the manual on php.net. However there is a small problem - it only works in uppercase. Please first see my code below and then a brief description of the problem:

Most of the open source web-service products that I am reading about seem to require generation of client stub and server implementation ancestor classes from the WSDL file. The client application links in with the stubs. Like CORBA SII, the client operates on a proxy (albeit a "service proxy" and not an "object proxy") in its address space. This approach seems to limit the scope of web services. Is there an equivalent of CORBA DII...

Hello, I have an asp.net application. The application dynamically creates an invoice. It is important to see and approve the invoice before it is updated in the database. So...I was dynamically creating a PDF file and writing the PDF file to disk and then updating an ifram src attribute on the server side to reference the newly created file.

I read a great article by Dino Esposito about a control he built to help generate images dynamically similar to how asp.net 2.0 will do it. His sample worked in a C# project, but when I tried to write it in VB, it wouldn't work (and no obvious errors). Its really quite simple (if you know what u r doing...) and uses only a few lines of code. Attached is the sample project I've created to model this out. Here's a link to Dino's article...

I have a way for doing plugin's in my gui app. These plugins have to talk to a webservice to do database calls. I've done the DB access as a web service so it can be shared with the rest of the company, if not for the want of reuse the gui app would have just simply accessed the DB Directly and each plugin in would have been fully self contained. Each time I create a new gui plugin I find myself modifying the web service to add new support...

We are seeking to hire a lead programmer to build a dynamic Web-based imaging module which will enable users to upload a digital image or photograph to the site and choose from thousands of combinations of mattes and frames. We will output the file via high resolution printers on site and matte/frame the image in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at a fraction of the cost of having it done at a local framing shop. This...

Hi, I am writing a web custom control that displays a dynamically generated image. Apparently I need to register an HTTP handler in web.config. Is there any way to register the handler programmatically to avoid messing with web.config? Thanks

Hi- I want to create a dynamic image with areas so that when the user clicks different areas, the user jumps to those pages. The problem is, I can't seem to figure out how to do this efficiently. Suppose I have a table, items in a database: itemid description count So, basically, I want to create an image that has 3 ovals, representing the top 3 occurring items (with the highest count) in

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
