looking for a "proxy" handler to redirect page requests..

Hi,

I'm looking for a component which can act as a "proxy".
I mean when a user access a virtual folder I want to get the query then I'll
send it to a back end server, then I display the result coming from the
backend server.

Like ISA Server can do with a web publishing rule.

Because I have an.net application (http://portal.company.com) which used
IFrame to display some contents of another server
(http://reports.company.com) .
I'm using basic authentication and when the IFrame is opened, the user is
asked to login again because I call another secured server.

To avoid this, I want to use a local virtual folder
(http://portal.company.com/reportserver) with an handler to execute the
exact same query to the back end server using the current login of the user.

I presume I have to rewrite some HTML content like:
http://reports.company.com become http://portal.company.com

thanks for your help.

jerome.

Is there such a beast? In particular, I'm looking for a production-quality proxy server fully compliant with HTTP/1.1 written in Python. If there isn't, is there anything that comes close? Thanks for any help you can throw my way, Chris Gray "Okey dokey.. free my mind. Right, no problem, free my mind, free my mind,

Im trying to make a simple TCP socket "relay" or "proxy", but my skills in Python are not high (yet). The only thing it should do, is to open the connection on behalf of the client, and when the client closes the connection, it should do so too. It's going to "relay" PCL and/or PostScript printjobs to a TCP/IP printer. Does anyone have some sugggestions on code-examples? I've tried googling around, but couldn'r find anythin usefull.

Hello all. Is there a convenient scheme within a C extension to add methods to a type in such a way as to allow me to transparently add a "proxy" around them? For example: typedef PyObject* (*PyMethodCall)(PyObject*, PyObject*); PyObject* middleMan(PyObject* self, PyObject* args) { printf("Before call to wrapped funct\n");

Hi, I'm trying to understand a situation where ASP seems to be "blocking" of "queuing" requests. This is on a Win2K Advanced Server, with IIS5. I've seen some posts (e.g., http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=Tidy7IDbDHA.2108%40cpmsftngxa06.phx.gbl) that indicate that ASP will queue up requests when they come in with the same "session".

I have wrriten a reverse proxy for a client of mine, this reverse proxy takes the url takes it attempt to access a *.XXXX and returns the the contents of an aspx web page from another internal server, the user then clicks on a button on the page that then posts data to the reverse proxy and it routes to the correct page by creating a web request and setting the method to post. (the reverse proxy is written using the IHttpHandler interface...

I am re-sending this in the hope that it might illicit a response. I have a corporate client who forces their workstations to get the proxy server details using an automatic proxy discovery script. Unfortunately, the .NET Framework does not support automatic proxy discovery scripts. See: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;%5BLN%5D;307220 The article above details that the way to workaround this is to edit the...

Hi There, I've generated a C# file from a wsdl file using wsdl.exe utility. Then I created a console application and made a call to the method generated, first I got the error: "The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Access Denied." Then I added a proxy validating and proxy credentials and got this:

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

Hi all, I am using a 3rd party program in a VS2005 web project. The tool takes as input a string containing HTML and converts it to RTF. I have been creating a page by dynamically loading UserControls and then sending the page to the browser. Now I want to write the contents of the the page to a string variable, convert that variable to the RTF and send that to the browser and I am stuck on the "simple" part of getting the contents of...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
