Uninstall/Reinstall??

I have a trial version of VS.Net that is expiring. I have another trial
version. Should I uninstall the first one before installing the second or
can I just install the second one over the top of the first?

I suspect that it won't make any difference. The first one probably put a
secret hidden key in your registry that the second one will check for. If
your trial period is over, the second one probably won't run either.

I certainly hope that's not the case. I installed it and then was out of
town for a while!

I am getting an error message when launching VS2003. It says "MS Development Environment has not been installed for the current user. Please run setup to install the application." I used "Add/Remove Application" first trying to reinstall it, but an InstallShield message box showed up saying "Command line parameteres: /L language ID, /S Hide...." etc. When I click OK then nothing happened. Then I ran the setup from my original...

Recently I have encountered a number of problems using VS2005 Standard Edition. For some unknown reason I am not able to load any project anymore. I've been using the product for some months. These are some of the steps I've tried: 1. Uninstall Web Application Projects add-in. Fails with message: "Could not load file or assembly 'sorttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies." And the install 'backs out".

I have a problem with ASP.Net 2.0 that I think needs a re-install. When I go to the control panel and try to uninstall, the Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Setup dialog comes up and tells me the wizard is about to guide me through the installation process. As soon as I hit next I get a brief screen that is asking me to agree to a license agreement but before I can chek the box it flashes to the next screen and tells me: The folling error...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
