Dear friends,
I am having a hard time understanding how to use a SELECT CASE in ASP. I
have used it in VB but never in ASP scripting.
Scenerio:
I have 2 textboxes on a form that I have to allow entry to one or the other
or Both at the same time. Now I tried to use an If ElseIf but it got too
hard to track, so now I am using a SELECT CASE Statement.

Inexplicably one of my aspx pages is ignoring the Page_Load handler. The
page worked fine this morning, but then I added a couple of "using"
directives and uncommented a method call about halfway down, and suddenly I
can't get Page_Load to run no matter what.
I've rebuilt the web project several times but nothing doing. VS .Net
debugger doesn't even stop on my breakpoints in the function, though it has
no problem on other, button-click,...

For example, I have a virtual directory - "wfile", I would like user access
http://mysite/wfile, but I want to handle it with my own code instead of
turn on "Directory Browsing", how can I capture that request? IHttpHandler
or IHttpModule?
Thanks!

Dear all,
I try to use the Login control newly provided in VWD 2005 Express. It is
said in the online help that it must have SQL Server 2005 Express installed
to save the credential infomation. For SQL Server 2005 Express is still in
beta and it provides little management tools, it's difficult to
manage/manipulate the database objects. So I want to use SQL Server 2000
instead of it, but I can not find any information to configure the...

hello,
I'm always have great difficulties, replying to this beautiful and
helpful list.
When I hit the reply button,
the message is sent personally to the sender and not to the list.
I've subscribed to dozen's of lists,
and all have an "reply-to" address, that points to list and not to the
individual.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
