Another DGrid question...
I can not access the values of a cell in a datagrid unless
I make them visible. I do not want these fields
displayed. I only want to use the values to run a stored
procedure off of. I access them right now using the
item.cell().control method.
Here's the code:

Hi,
Could some1 please tell me what the best way is to adjust the value of
a column in my databound datagrid (in ASP.NET)
For example my database returns the values 1,2 and 3 in the column
Priority. But 1,2 and 3 actually represent "Low", "Medium" and "High".
So instead of a column filled with 1,2,3's I want a column filled with
Low,Medium,High's. How do I do that??

This is a translation of an ASP page to ASP.Net. First, the background:
The goal is to have a grid of different settings for the application --
think something along the lines of the Property Page for a control. You
have two columns -- the first column is a simple caption, and the second
column can be one of a number of controls (textbox, checkbox,
dropdownlist, etc) for each row. So row #1 might have a textbox in the
second column,...

I'm creating a datasource and populating a datagrid at runtime. The
code is as follows:
dt = New DataTable
dt.Columns.Add(New DataColumn("Item", GetType(String)))
dt.Columns.Add(New DataColumn("Value", GetType(String)))
For i = 0 To j - 1
dr = dt.NewRow()

Hi:
I have a VB.NET web app that contains a datagrid on a web form that is
loaded as follows:
DataGrid1.DataSource = lookup.searchnames(getinformation)
DataGrid1.DataBind
The grid displays data for the user and contains one column that is an html
link.

How do I set field default values at runtime? Say I want a check box
that is bound to a boolean field to default to false for a certain set
of criteria, and then true for others? I also need to do this with other
fields, not just boolean....
Thanks,
Aaron

Hello,
(Windows forms - SQL Server)
I fill my datagrid with a stored procedure that includes relationships
to lookup tables so that users can see the values of the combobox
selections rather than the key value that are stored in the table.
It works well if the comboboxes are selected when the row is created.

Hi,
I'm new to .net and started a project recently.
I'm trying to populate a datagrid's first column with default values. The datagrid is of 3 rows and 3 columns. I need to populate the first column with 3 diffrernt values in each row. The second column is a bound column and the third column is a template column.
I was able to populate the bound column with out any problem.
Help in this regard is greately appreciated.
thanks

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
