Populating default values in Datagrid

1 New Member
Hi,
I'm new to .net and started a project recently.
I'm trying to populate a datagrid's first column with default values. The datagrid is of 3 rows and 3 columns. I need to populate the first column with 3 diffrernt values in each row. The second column is a bound column and the third column is a template column.
I was able to populate the bound column with out any problem.

Help in this regard is greately appreciated.

thanks

Hello, I am having trouble with a datagrid. I received help online to create the datagrid the way I needed it, so I'm not entirely clear on how/why it works. I use the following code to populate the rows of my datagrid. The variable _arrstr contains my column headers. For i = 0 To (_dataset1.Tables(0).Rows.Count) - 1

HI all.. I have a huge table that I want to display in a datagrid, the problem is that if I make a dataset, the entire table must go to the dataset to the data begin to display, and it takes much time... I need to start show data after a row pushed to the dataset, so I think of using the datareader to populate a datatable and bind the datatable to the datagrid.

I'm sure this is a fairly basic question, but I've been looking all over the web for days for suggestions on how to do this. I've got a datagrid that's bound to a dataset on my form. It includes several columns, the last of which (with the header Quantity) contains int16 values. When a user selects a row, I would like to have a combobox on the form display the values from 1 to the number in the Quantity column (e.g., the selected row has...

I am populating a multiselect Listbox from a dataset, with the content of the listbox filled by one table, and the selections determined from another table. So far, I have been keeping the dataset a denormalized mirror of the database, but I'm not having much luck getting the selection logic down (I haven't found a 'hook' where I can access the listbox object as an object to set the listitem's selected property before it gets rendered).. ...

Hi All ... I'm writing a small shopping cart app (school assignment) and need to list all the books that a user selects. I have created a "BookBasket" object that contains among other things an arraylist of the user selected books. The "book" object contains isbn, title price and quantity information. I'd like to display the contents of the BookBasket in a datagrid control.

Trying to learn about manipulating collections of objects, and populating these objects dynamically from datasources. Could someone post a code sample that shows the following: Instantiating a collection object -- say, a dictionary. Populating that collection object with custom objects, say, Person. What I really want to see is how to populate the properties of those Person objects from a datasource: instantiate one Person, fill...

I am trying to populate a Crystal Report from data in my DataGrid. The reason for this is that I want the user to be able to change values without updating the database, but still have their report reflect the values they anticipate committing to see hypothetical totals of columns from a set of records. These records are displaying properly on my DataGrid but I'm not sure how to get Crystal Reports 10 to use as its datasource the dataset...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
