<URGENT> Crystal 9 + Server 2003 : security problem

Hi,

we've got a small security setting problem here, an as I'm new to server
2003, I can solve it alone...

here is the situation :
we have a web application, hosted on Windows Server 2003, that use Crystal
Report 9. RPT files are placed in a specific folder, with ReadOnly access.

When a user requests for a repport, the temporary file is well created in
the temp folder, but when he clics "open" or "save as" button, an
UnauthorizedAcc esException is thrown.

The problem is solved when we grant Everyone full access on the RPT's
folder, but this solution isn't accepted by our customers.
I don't know at this time if the impersonation is set, neither if the ASPNET
or machine accounts are granted full access.

Have someone encountered this issue, or a similar one that can help me to
solve this problem ?

Greetings. Do any popular browsers correctly support <q>, at least for Western languages? I've noticed that Mozilla uses the standard English double-quote character, ", regardless of the lang attribute of the HTML document. Will any browsers render German-style quotes or French-style guillemots for lang="de" and lang="fr", respectively? Regards, Tristan

Hi, I have written a Web Service for a customer which expects a SOAP message with Document/Literal encoding, and uses RoutingStyle=SoapServiceRoutingStyle.RequestElement to route the SOAP body message to my Web Method. The Web Method expects a string as its parameter and then feeds that string to an XML deserializer which maps the XML elements contained within the string to my custom objects, then performs an insert/update on an SQL...

Hi all, I did post this about 10 hours ago thinking I would have received an answer now but it is quite urgent. How do I add a COM object to a web form? I notice there's a primary interop assembly for Office web components and what I'm trying to do here is to create a PivotTable object (which is fine) but then I want to add it to a web page (e.g.

Hi there, I am having a strange problem which I have actually seen on 2 different servers now. The problems manifests itself as a ConfigurationException, and upon inspection, a new (invalid/non-existent) assembly reference is added in the <assemblieselement of web.config. In both cases, the assemblies being referenced have never existed on the servers. In one case, a reference to System.Web.Extensions was added, and in the other, a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
