Hello,
I am trying to find a way to create a scheduled task or
service that will copy my local profile folders
under "Documents and settings" to a network drive. This
would allow me to restore my settings if my profile became
tampered with or corrupt. Is there any sample code
available out there?

We debug a VB.Net App that uses compact framework to a DAP Windows CE.Net
device.
When I debug I would like to only have the EXE copied down. Right now it
copies any referrences as well and checks the .NET CF version.
The first message I receive is:
Files in the package 'netcf.all.wce4.armv4.cab' are more recent on the
device than on the development computer. Consider upgrading to the latest
version. Files affected are:

Hi
I'm a little confused. I've deployed my ASP.NET project by using
the "copy project" feature of VS2003. Works fine.
I'm stuck however in copying individual files to the deployed
solution.
I've tried copying on a file with one instance of VS2003 with a
solution, and pasting into another instance of VS2003 with the deployed
solution loaded (using the right click method). If I do this I get an

Hello
We have an application where the user would upload files (max size of
200 mb) from their client machine. This application will run on a web
server (its a web server which would be used by the general public),
because of obvious reason, this server will not have access to any
shared directory on the network.
Currently we store the file on the local drive (c:) of that server and
an other application running on an internal server...

Hi All,
I am learning VB.NET and building small application that will do the following:
1.. Copy all files from a DVD to a specific folder in the hard drive and overwrite all files always.
The problem I am facing is that the copy statement I am using is that when overwriting the files it will prompt for each file, so I can not find an option to tell it to overwrite all.
If strCopyToFolder.EndsWith("\") = False Then
strCopyToFolder +=...

My VB .NET application (created in VS 2003) resides in c:\Program Files
\Test\ and there's a data.mdb (Access) file within this directory.
I have a feature in my program that allows the user to import a backup
copy of this Access db if they need to.
I'm using the FileCopy method to simply copy over the data.mdb file
within the directory above. However, I get a

In VS2005, I want to write a program which will have some similarity to an
existing program.
It would be an advantage to start by copying the existing program (into a
new directory, and with new names for the forrms etc.) .
What is the easiets way to do that?
Thanks

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
