Datagrid or Datalist to return the row value

niv
Hi,

My dataset consists of a string of data seperated by
semicolons.
ie
4544512;7878595 ;9696569;959658 6;1235252;54565 85;4754565;696
9596

I want to return this data to either a datagrid or
datalist as individual rows. The criteria is for every row
is seperated by semicolon..

What is the easiest way to do this?
What control do you recommend using?

Thanks,

niv

You can use the split method of the string object and turn the string into
an array object then bind the array to your datagrid.

Is there a way to display different message based on the value of a particualr column bound to a datagrid or datalist. For example, I have the following column from the bound DataTable: <%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "hasValue") %> "hasValue" takes the true or false value. What I would like to display to the user is if the value is true, display a hardcoded hyperlink, otherwise leave the datagrid column (or datalist item)...

On my page_load, I am populating a Datagrid through the normal manner (which works) before attempting to pick out the items in one column to use in another part of my page. This is all within page_load. Within my Datagrid I have an <ItemTemplate/> tag with a child <asp:Label/> tag. The ID on the <asp:Label/> tag is set to "lblDescription". I am using the following code to iterate over the DataGrid control and pick out the descriptions...

I have a datagrid where a user can edit a number in one of the columns for a quantity value. On the postback I loop through all of the datagrid items and if the quantity has changed, then I update the value of the extended price cell for that datagrid item. Also, the datagrid has a checkbox in each row called "Remove" where if the checkbox is checked I delete that row from the underlying datasource and set a flag which tells me to...

I've been searching all over and think I am close, but keep getting the error "Index out of range" when trying to reference a nested datagrid when an OnEditCommand event is raised. When the OnEditCommand event is raised, I try to do the following: 1. Find the selected datalist item in which the nested datagrid raised the event. (by calling getDataGridReference and returning the DataList's selectedIndex)

First note that I am using Framework 1.1. I have an .aspx page that is displaying a list of employees, but only the Employee Number, First Name, Last Name, and Title. It is working great. I recessed it in a <Div></Divto allow scrolling of just the data, not the page. What I need to do is place a DataList (also in a <Div></Divto allow scrolling of just the data) to the right of the Datagrid to show 40 Employee Detail fields (listed top to...

Thanks in advance... (you can see a screenshot of what my form looks like currently at http://www.juggernautical.com/DataGrid.jpg - the Datalist is super-imposed in 'design view' but the DataGrid is the actual running of the page) I've almost got this working (?) but need a little help. I have an .aspx page that has a DataGrid listing employees with a "Select" button that is to be used to populate the DataList to the right of the DataGrid...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
