Some document processing program I write has to deal with documents
that have headers and footers that are unnecessary for the main
processing part. Therefore, I'm using a regular expression to go over
each document, find out if it contains a header and/or a footer and
extract only the main content part.
The headers and the footers have no specific format and I have to
detect and remove them using a list of strings that may appear as...

i have a dynamically created user control which contains a non-dynamically
created ASP.Net button. When the button is clicked, the event is not fired.
I know that the control must be created on postback, and it is. However,
I've noticed an intriguing thing which I think might be at the root of the
problem.
My page inherits from a basepage, which in turn inherits from
System.Web.UI.Page. On initial load, the events fire something like...

I keep running into this over and over again...
I want a block server control that renders a header and footer, and child
controls in between.
But I don't want a templated control, for the following reasons:
1) Render blocks are not allowed inside a templated control.
2) I want the inner controls scoped at the parent aspx (or ascx), not at the
template naming container.
This type of control would be ideal for website headers and...

Hello,
I have a GridView in my page which is created in runtime. It works fine.
My page has 2 Asp Buttons:
- The HIDE button makes GridView.Visible = False;
- The SHOW button makes GridView.Visible = True.
I press HIDE and the GridView disappears as expected.
After it I press SHOW and the GridView doesn't show.

Greetings.
Ok, I admit it, I bit off a bit more than I can chew.
I need to complete this "Generate Report" page for my employer and I'm
a little over my head. I could use some additional assistance. I say
additional because I've already had help which is greatly appreciated.
I do try to take the time and understand the provided script in hopes
on not having to trouble others on those. But here it goes...

The web page at http://www.rossowinspections.com/ has an issue with the
left menu. The left menu has 7 links. One of the links doesn't work.
Using Firefox 1.5 the Fees link isn't a clickable link, if viewed as a
full screen. If you shrink the window down the Fees link then becomes
a link. The link works in IE and Mozilla. I've validated the CSS and
XHTML, the CSS had no errors, the XHTML has no errors other than the
paramaters for the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
