Hi,
We are currently trying to install .Net Framework v.1.1 on a server which
already has v1.0.
We are receiving the following error.
Error 1704.An installation for Microsoft .NET Framework SDK (English) is
currently suspended. You must undo the changes made by that installation to
continue. Do you want to undo those changes?

I have little or no knowledge as to how a runtime Access database
application might be distributed from a website. I am sure that I'm
about to find out. I do have one question for you wizards though...
My experience has shown that when I have installed applications
from the web, my browser generally asks what I want to do with
the file... Do I wanna save it? or Do I wanna run it? The browser
generally warns about the dangers of executing...

Hi,
I am pretty new to python and will use it mainly in
combination with scientific packages. I am running ubuntu
breezy right now and see that some packages are out of date.
Do you have any suggestion, how I can get/keep the latest
python modules (e.g. scipy, numpy,...) on my ubuntu system?
I.e. does there exist any script/program, which downloads
and installs automatically the latest stable releases of selected
modules? It would be...

Is any one charting packing considered to be the "best"? We've used ChartFX
but wasn't too happy about the way data had to be populated along with some
other issues which slip my mind right now and Dundas has bugs and doesn't do
a good enough job displaying axis labels and is very slow to paint large
numbers of series and data points.
We're currently evaluating ProEssentials which we are happy with but it's
not a native .NET package.

I have an MDE application used by several hundred people in different
parts of the world. The majority of users are of lesser experience
computer experience. The app consists of a frontend (MDE) and backend
(MDB), a help file and a key file.
To this point, I have provided users with an installation package
which installed both files into their program files folder with no
problems.
A few users are getting new computers with vista...

I was just wondering if anyone knows if vs2005 standard edition will work for
this. I would like to build some windows applications that will have Crystal
reports as an output and interface with SQL express. I need low cost
software as am on a budget and noticed that vs2005 standard edition is only
$226.00. Also I would need to build an MSI (install file) with this that
would include the SQL express database (I think it is free), the...

I have a brand new Dell computer right out of the box. It was purchased with
Windows Vista Basic. I have also separately purchased Windows Vista Ultimate
and I want to install it on this new computer.
What is the best approach to accomplish this task? Should I start up the
new Dell computer and have it go through its Windows Vista Basic setup then
upgrade to Vista Ultimate? Or should I start by inserting the Windows Vista
Ultimate...

Hello all,
Our development group at work seems to be heading towards adopting
python as one of our standard "systems languages" for internal
application development (yeah!). One of the issues that's come up is
the problem with apt (deb packages) vs eggs, vs virtual environments.
We're probably gonna end up using Pylons or TurboGears for web-based
apps, and I've recommended virtualenv, but one of the other developers
has had some...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
