When I double-click on "some.py" file console window appears just for a
moment and right after that it's closed. If this script is started from
inside of IDLE (F5 key) then it executes as it should be (e.g.
executing all its print statements).
Any ideas? OS: Windows; Python 2.3.4. Thanks.

Is there a way to not allow users to click server button more than once or
double clicking it besides trying to disable it in the code behind the first
time it is clicked?

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue. It's driving me
batty.
It seems my mouse wants to "double click" on items when I'm just doing
a single click. I thought it was the mouse so I swapped it out for
another. Same thing happening with the new mouse.
As I would highlight controls on a form in order to get the properties
window, at frequent random times, the code behind would open with an
method for the default event for...

When I (or other users on my network) open an MDB file by double-
clicking on it, all is fine. If the database is already open by
another user, though, nothing happens. No error message, nothing to
indicate what's going on. If I open Access, go to the Open dialog and
find the same MDB file, then it opens fine.
Any clues as to what the problem is would be most appreciated!
(Using Access 2003. Tested it with a new, blank database, and the...

Hi, I just upgraded to 2007.
It is quite a change in interface,
but, on one of my computers double-clicking a table or a form or any other
object in the navigationwindow doesn't open them.
Right-clicking, I get the little menu and there I can open it.
What on earth can cause such behaviour?
please enlighten

Sometimes you might have two list boxes side by side, and want to double-click on an item in one box to move it to the other.
For instance, maybe the first list box contains a list of customers, and you want to perform some function (say, email them) that pertains to only a few of those customers. By double-clicking on the customer names you want, you get the desired list in the right hand box.
First, make a generic sub that takes two...

Double clicking the title bar to toggle a form between full screen
size and the previous size is a great feature.
Can someone please explain how to programmatically double click the
title bar?
The form I am working with does not show any of the sizing, minimize,
or close buttons in the title bar. This clean appearance is preferred
for this specific application ... so hopefully the solution is
specific to the title bar only and not the...

Hello,
Recently, I've come across a problem. I have a list of Last Names, field named "LName", which are associated with a list of phone numbers. It is my intention to, on the form called "harlan test", double click a record, utilizing the record selector, and have the program open another form, "TESTY", to the selected record. In either form, the only field they share in common is "LName," which they both draw from the "main_list" table.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
