Writing a form, several questions have got a list of checkboxes, with
associated descriptions (mostly one word), all on a line.
Eg:
Describe yourself: Fat Hairy Ugly Wears glasses.
I want to prevent the description word(s) from being separated from
their box (represented here as ""). I want to insert some spacing
between items, so that it's clear the third box means ugly, not hairy -
I've used " ", between items (as well as...

Hi. I found the following when trying to learn if there is such a thing as a
non-breaking hyphen. Apparently Unicode has a ‑ but that is not
well-supported, especially in older browsers. Somebody somewhere said:
Alternately, you can use CSS to declare a class having:
..nowrap { white-space:nowrap }
.... and then wrap the compound word in a <span class=nowrap></span> tag (or
any other suitable inline tag). You can also try {...

If a word has a hyphen in it, IE will permit a line break at the
hyphen, but Firefox/Mozilla won't. Apparently the Firefox behavior is
standards-compliant, but it is not what I want. Is there a way to
denote a hyphen in HTML, that the line can be broken after?
I've read some stuff about soft hyphens and non-breaking hyphens, but
those seem like the opposite of what I'm looking for. I want a normal
hyphen, that always appears, and I...

Hi...
A colleague just referred this question to me. He's getting an xml file
from another party, which he's trying to process into another dom using an
XmlTextReader and XmlDocument.ReadNode(). The problem is that it's breaking
and he doesn't understand why. I didn't exactly either, which is why I'm
posting a question here.
First, his program just creates a new dom using new document like this:
XmlDocument xml = new XmlDocument();

Hi
I am doing a project where I have to use multiple character sets for the
input. They would be English, Symbol and possible Greek, These will be used
as symbols for processing an algebraic expression. I need to input them
and then display them on a windows screen. There is a total of 10 symbols
not in the ASCII character set.
This is a new area for me and would appreciate some pointers on how to
approach the problem. I am not...

If you have any PHP scripts which will not work in the current releases
due to breaks in backwards compatibility then take a look at

you agree with my opinion or not.

1) I want to show a breaking hyphen in Mozilla 1.5.0.4
How do I do that?
"Unicode standard annex #14", <http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr14/>,
defines 4 breaking hyphens.
<quote>
Breaking hyphens establish explicit break opportunities
immediately after each occurrence.

Will newlines ever be standardized? I recently discovered that in a
textarea, internet explorer adds \r\n for every newline you enter,
while firefox adds \n. I know \r is also used in some places... will
this ever be fixed?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
