A good way for Excel Reporting

Hi,

I'm looking for an excel reporting solution to use in my ASP.NET
application. I don't want to use Crystal Reports (too poor for excel
reporting) and Reporting Services has requirements that the customer is not
happy with, so it's not an option either. I definitely don't want to use
Excel as a server component.

My requirements for excel reporting include formatting, formula fields and
using images when necessary.

It's clear that I will be needing a custom solution in this case such as
creating an html document that can be opened from excel, perhaps an xslt
transformation and the like.

Any ideas?

Don't know that this fits your requirements, but you might find
ExcelEverywhere interesting.

Messages to the reporting services group get no attention, and I haven't been able to find anything on MS support so I am going to try here. We have a prticular report, that when exported to Excel through Reporting services exports fine, but has an additional Excel sheet labeled DocumentMap with bogus code in it and it has the focus by default. There is another tab called Sheet1 which has the correct report data. Any idea how to get rid of...

I don't know if there's even a way to do what I want. I click on a button in an Access form, and it opens an instance of Excel, and opens a workbook and runs a macro that's in it. So far, fine, I know how to do this. I'm preferring to keep the Excel instance invisible, but while the macro is running, it would be nice to see some sort of progress indicator. (By the way, here's basically what the Excel macro is doing: it's opening...

A VB2003 application upgraded to VB2005 that builds an Excel spreadsheet. Everything appears to work correctly except that the Excel object does not go away it is still in the Process list in task manager. This problem did not exist in the VB2003 version. Are there a any ideas of what might be happening? All of the Excel objects are being disposed of by setting them to Nothing and the Quit method is called for Excel. I've even used...

Hi, I am facing a problem in uploading Excel data to the Database. While uploading my code reads Excel Data using OleDbReader and store into a dataset by looping through the OleDbReader result set. The problem is, if I give the date as mm/dd/yyyy format it accepts, but when I give the date in dd/mm/yyyy format, upto 8 rows of data it is reporting the date as invalid. After 8th row even if the date is there (dd/mm/yyyy format), it is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
