Problem saving a csv file through ASP.NET application

Hello,

I am saving a csv file through an ASP.NET web application. The data is
obtained from a database and
saved to the local users machine.

I am using the Response objects methods of Addheader and ContentType. It
works fine on my machine to save the file, however on another machine
browser(Interne t Explorer), it prompts to save the aspx page. When I say to
save the aspx page, it then opens up the 'save dialog box', and saves the
csv files without any problem.

I think this is a setting on the browser, where it prompts to save the aspx
page, any ideas on how to change this?

Thanks,
Marise

I dont think you can silently save files on user's machines. I would think
that would be a huge security hole.

Hi, I have several thousand tiffs generated by application A which are read by application B. I need to remove a few colours from the tiffs and I decided to try with the python imaging library. Running under debug mode permits saving my tiff files (with Image.DEBUG=0, the save doesn't work! see below) , but it truncates the crazy tags in my tiff and changes the resolution of the image

It works fine in my development machine, but breaks on a client's at the following line: If Dir(strLDB) <> "" Then Kill (strLDB) where strLDB is the path to the ldb file. The client advises that the ldb doesn't lurk after the program closes. Any ideas?

Hi All, I am currently working on a project, which involves creating a COM Add-in using VB.Net, for MS Word 2003. As usual, I am creating few custom menu buttons under the File and Tool menus. These menu buttons are being created in the OnStartupComplete event and removed in the OnBeginShutdown event of the COM Add-in's connect class. So, as per logic, everytime the Word starts, custom menu

The problem I faced with the solution provided is that between the export of data to Excel and destryoing of Excel's objects (calling NAR sub), I need to provide a prompt to the user to save file to a location, as per user's choice. However, If the user elects CANCEL...

I am having a problem saving an image with the same name it originally had. I have two similar versions of my code, one in which I close the FileStream used to open the original image before saving, the other in which I close the FileStream afterwards, although both return the same error. Here are the two versions of the code and the errors they each return (NOTE: I rebooted immediately before running each of these versions so that I knew they...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
