I posted this on the asp.net group, also. I wasn't sure whether this was an
asp.net problem or a javascript problem.
I have a page that was originally created from a program I found on the net
that works well as an html page.
It brings up a modal popup window that I have been trying to work out for
days now and this was the closest I have been able to come.
I added a little asp.net code and an asp.net button and cannot get it to

Hi,
I have an HTML RESET button and Web Control Button that
posts back to the server. Problem is the reset button
doesn't work after the postback occurs. Any ideas or
suggestions as to why this happens or how I can work
around this?
Thanks

Hi all and thanks in advance,
I am stuck! I can't figure out how to identify which button was clicked on my ASP.NET page in the PostBack event? So what I am trying to do is to is to have an if statement like as follows in the PageLoad:
private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e) {
if (!Page.IsPostBack) {
//do something here
} else {

I have message entry screen that's causing me a bit of an issue. At the
moment, there are 2 buttons, one is used to send message to another user
(btnSend) and another is used to send messages to all users (btnSendAll).
When user hits enter, I also simulate the effect of clicking button
(btnSend). However, what I found btnSend doesn't fire (unless I click on the
button).
The postback function I call is as follows:

I have an asp.net 1.1 eCommerce application that has a product page
where the user can select from many different options that affect the
price of the main product. I've implemented this with either a
RadioButtonList or a CheckBoxList that does a postback so I can display
the current price as the user changes options. It works pretty well, but
can do some odd things if the user navigates to the page with the back
button.
I've read up on...

I dynamically create buttons and associate them with an event using
AddHandler.
I want all the button events to fire at one time, when the page is posted,
instead of when each button is clicked.
How I stop the buttons from posting back when they are clicked?
Thanks

Hi,
i 'm experimenting with postback and i tried that with a button server
control and an Html input button but with runat="server".
The button server control causes a postback, but not the Html input button
with runat="server".
Can someone explain me why (because it's running on the server)?
Thanks

This problem only exists in IE, due to UI restrictions I'm using a
href in an error label to bring up a modal popup. I'm using a callback
to filter a grid on the popup.
The problem:
The href has javascript:btn.click() basically, which in Firefox causes
a postback after it's clicked. IE works fine without posting back,
this is suppose to be an instant popup and the postback defeats the
whole purpose. Any ideas?

Does anyone know of any reason a button on a master page would have no
effect?
I have a complex HTML page that I'm converting to ASP.NET, and acknowledge I
could have something odd that is affecting this.
But I'm stuck. My handler is in C# code and the code looks right. But
absolutely nothing happens when I click the button.
protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
