What I have currently:
I have a user control called mod_container.aspx that is basically two
divs -- the top a toolbar, that expands/collapse the second div which can
contain other modules/controls (eg a newsfeed, quick phonelist, login, etc.)
But the controls end up too 'deep': it appears that it would be
lighter/better if I could just enherit the uc_login.aspx directly off of the
uc_container.aspx so that all modules have the same...

Hi everyone, I'm encountering a very weird problem, I have spent the
last 3 days trying to figure out how to fix but there is still no
clue. Here is the problem:
I define 2 WebUserControls:
- Content.ascx has a TabStrip control and a Button on it.
- Box.ascx has a PlaceHolder control on it.

My aspx dynamically loads an ascx into a placeholder. The ascx has an
event. When I click on the submit linkbutton in the ascx, the event does
not fire. But if I click it a second time, it fires.
I put in tracing, and the OnInit (which loads the event handler) is executed
on the initial load and also on the 2nd. It just makes no sense to me. Any
ideas?
Thanks a zillion!!

Hi Folks,
Suppose I have two link button on a page (say lnkBtn1 and
lnkBtn2). On the click event of the lnkbtn1 I have to add a dynamically
created control. And On the click event of the lnkBtn2 I have to add a
datalist control.
Using this datalist control I should be able to add edit, modify
and cancel the items listed in this control.
Here is how I designed. I used placeholder to add the controls dynamically
to the page on the click...

Good Morning,
I have a user control I dynamically load in the page_init event into a
asp:placeholder control. This page also has another placeholder I would
like to dynamically load controls into when the user takes an action on my
first dynamically loaded control.
Control 1 is a couple of asp:button controls. I am able to tap into their
events, but in the code behind, I want the click event of one of the buttons
to load another user...

Hello All,
I am developing a webform which creates ArrayLists of people's names and
addresses (the values are retrieved from an xml file) and dynamically drops a
user control onto the webform and populates it with the required names. Once
the user selects a name, the webform will then drop another user control (the
same control) onto itself and populate it with the selected name's addresses.
The user control is a combination of an...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
