We need to share the same user controls among many developers in the
same project. How do we achieve this? We have looked into using Custom
controls, but they have a very high development time & at times can be
complicated.
How can we have a set of user controls, say in a separate project, and
make use of it from there instead of copying the controls to each
individuals project & then using it? We are VS.NET 2003 if its of any help.
Please somebody enlighten us here as we are having a lot of problem in
code sharing.

You cannot share user controls across projects. They are made to be simple,
not flexible.
If all developers are working on the same project, you can put the user
controls in the same project as the developers are working on. Perhaps you
meant to say that the developers are all working on different projects?
Finally, you should take a look at composite controls. See Developing a
Composite Control
( http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...-us/cpguide/ht
ml/cpcondeveloping compositecontro ls.asp). These can be a step between user
controls and full-blown custom controls.

I'm having trouble getting this to work when the shared controls are on a
different machine, but otherwise it works fine....

I did it.
I proposed python as the main language for our next CAD/CAM

I am developing a boardgame, with a large number of customed
usercontrols ( e.g. 20 X 20 = 400 ).
I find it very usefull to use usercontrols, as they can contains
specific properties and methods, but it makes the application very
slow to redraw, even if I redraw only a small subset of them.
Is there a way to speed up the drawing time? I included in my codes

Is it practical?
I have a site we've been working on where a lot of the objects on the page

I have some common UserControls i want to share between to sites (on the
same mashine but on diffrent virtual paths).
right now i have on solution file with aprox 10 projects. 2 of these is
webprojetcs wich need to shere some common userControls. Optimally i want a
class libarary project wich contains the controls so i could import the DLL
and use the controls. But that of course doesnt work.

The website I am developing has a large DLL that includes custom
MembershipUser, MembershipProvider and RoleProvider classes, several
frequently used web controls, custom base classes for Master and Page
objects, so on and so on.
All of this was done on my main dev machine, which I've also been using
