Can't switch to Design View in VS.Net 2003

I've a repeater and here is a piece of HTML when I use, I can't switch back
to Design view:
<a href=default.as px?id=<%#contai ner.dataitem("i d")%>Some Link</a>

I get this error message:
Could not open in design view. Place quotes around a '<% %>' used as an
attribute value or within a <SELECT> element.

well, actually I used <% %> as an attribute value, why I shouldn't?
would you suggest an alternative?

Try placing quotes around <% %> :-)
Like this:
<a href='default.a spx?id=<%#conta iner.dataitem(" id")%>'>Some Link</a>

Do real developers use the design view? Thought it would be interesting to start a debate on this subject. According to all the MCP materials (yes, I know a bit mickey mouse), the design view is the way to build your ASP.NET pages. Problem is: - it generates goddam awful HTML, certainly not standards-based. - use of absolute positioning and tables for layout.

ASP.NET 2.0 master pages are great. However, I want to edit an ASPX page in FrontPage for aesthetic styling reasons. The ASPX page is linked to a master page so it naturally has a contentplaceholder ID. Right-click in VS2005 and open it in MS FrontPage. Source appears file. However, design view (the real reason I'm in FP anyway) will not display unless I remove the ContentPlaceHolder tag. Specifically: <asp:Content ID="Content1"...

Hi - I'm working in a database that someone else created. They set up the switchboard so that it can't be minimized nor can you switch to design view. It's been a hassle because I'm testing stuff in a query that pulls from fields on the form, so I can't just leave the form open and run the query. I cannot figure out how to change the form so I can minimize it or switch to design view or leave it open while working on other aspects of the...

When I swtich to design view from data view, the query results are lost, and I have to run again to get it. Is there an option in access to keep the data when I switching views? I know I can copy them to other place, such as excel, but I'd prefer to keep them in access. thanks, Wei

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
