I have contact info including email address in MySQL. If I use php to
extract them into online directory, can a spambot harvest the address? or
does the spambot read the raw php code?
I previously used javascript to hide my email addresses but more and more
people are disabling javascripting for security reasons. I need to find a
way to keep my email address from being harvested.
Does encoding the email with Ultimate Mailto (hex and...

Are we going backwards ? (please excuse my spelling...)
In my opinion an absolute YES !
Take a look at what we are doing ! we create TAGS, things like <H1> etc.
and although there are tools (dreamweaver and the like), they are all at the
lowest level of programming (something like assembly as oposed to C++ etc.).
These tools create "brain-dead" developers that constantly have to plough
through tons of tags to do the simplest thing.

I am at the beginning stages of writing a massive database-connected business
management application using the .NET framework and am becoming worried
about the security of the application upon completion.
I have recently become aware of the ease at which a .NET assembly can be
disassembled into its easily readable, underlying CLI code. I can see that it
would not be difficult for a malicious user to disassemble, modify, and then...

Hi,
I'm now nearing the completion of my first c# development. I have two applications. The first is
a simple database app that uses an Access database to store Regex strings along with a
description and various flags. This application has an export facility that compiles the Regexs
to an assembly and produces a flat file containing the descriptions and flag settings.
The second application, uses the Regex assembly and flat file to...

Hi All,
- I am working on a tool that manipulate managed assemblies, some of the
functionality provided by the tool require manipulating the metadata sections
of the managed assembly in a way it could still be loaded by the consuming
application ( concerning the manipulated assembly is a DLL ), The tool uses
the unmanaged profiling API to monitor the application being executed ( and
actively effect it ), for each assembly being loaded an...

Hello,
I am trying to use vs.net 2005 to migrate a project originally in vs.net
2003. I started with creation of a "web site", and then created folders for
each component of the site.
I read somewhere that each folder under the "web site" is compiled in
separate assembly. I however, did not find that the "web site" creation in
vs.net 2005 created any AssemblyInfo.cs file.

Hi,
I have experience in Java and C++ but I am rather new to C# and just
started learning it. I am using Visual C# 2005 Express Edition and I
found that there is a file called "AssemblyInfo.cs", which is something
like I attached below. Would anyone please let me know what is the
purpose of this file? Or are there any equivalent stuff I can imagine
in C++ or Java?
Thanks a lot.

Hello All,
I have a hard question, every time I look for this answer its get out
from the technical domain and goes on in the moral/social domain.
First, I live in third world with bad gov., bad education, bad police
and a lot of taxes and bills to pay, and yes I live in a democratic
"state" (corrupt, but democratic).
So please, don't try to convince me about the social / economical /
open source / give to all / be open / all people are...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
