Boot your Linux server with the Windows Server 2003 CD in it and follow
directions.

Well, he wants to try running ASP.NET on Apache doesn't necessary means he
wants to run it on Linux.

I'm personally wanted to give it a try because I found a free upload module
written in Perl won't run correctly on IIS with ActivePerl. Should I be able
to run it on Apache I could try to get it run on my web application.

However this is not easy as it must know how to pass the httpstreams back
and forward to the codebehind dlls. And I've so far have no success on this
since I'm not very familiar with Apache in Windows environment.

You may try to do that, and please let me know if you success. :)

You'll want to investigate Mono for that:

The tech at the current host of my domain apparently doesn't know how to configure the server properly. Read the past year of posts by me for details. Two more web hosts I've checked out also either don't know what to do or are putting me off from sheer laziness or whatever. I specifically asked one tech if he could set the server to send the charset and pics information, and he told me these are done with meta tags in the header of the...

Hello, I have managed (with your help!) to make a working XSLT stylesheet; it works fine locally (Windows Apache + PHP with Sablotron 1.0), but it fails on the remote host (FreeBSD Apache + PHP with Sablotron 1.0) with the following: Warning: Sablotron error on line 1: XML parser error 4: not well-formed (invalid token) in /...host...path.../page.php on line 28 FAILURE : XML parser error 4: not well-formed (invalid token) ; error

I am trying to learn PHP and was reading the book by Laura Welling and Luke Thompson. Obviously, PHP is already installed on a server when hosted by an ISP already. Is there a way to just download PHP 5 onto my laptop as well as MYSQL and practice learning it with coding and scripts, etc.? I don't have another machine to install Apache or IIS. Thanks.

I'm a senior citizen with a tech background, though a newbie to programming and style sheets. I'm usually able to make HTML and css changes to existing designs, but I'm stuck on this one and would like some help. I'm using Amaya as an HTML/XTML editor and my pages comply with the XML standards. The web pages display perfectly on my Windows XP, service pack 3, home pc, with either Firefox 3 or IE 7 (I think). However, when I move the pages to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
