Hi,
I am using a third party win 2003 iis 6.0 to serve my website.
The web site has a httphandler which does some custom jobs.
When I try to invoke the httphandler from some url call, it won't start
and give a 404 error on the url.
I personally create a plain win 2003 iis 6.0 server locally. The

Hi There!
I'm writing a custom HttpHandler to create watermarks on my PNG images of my
website. So typically, a PNG image is linked in an ASPX page as follows...
<img src="images/test.png" alt="testing" />
So I created an HttpHanlder to handle PNG images, have mapped the PNG
extension in the IIS and also added the HttpModule section in the web.config
file.

Hi!
I want my web application to be able to handle files with the extension
..mspx (my own extension). The new extension should be handled exatly the way
aspx files are handled, but with some additional code specific to the .mspx
extension files.
I thought this would be an easy task, but maby I've cornored myself into a
wrong path. I've set the mapping correct in IIS, so that asp.net manages the
new extension. I've also created a...

Im trying to add an httphandler for all *.sgf file extensions. I have
developed the handler,
1. installed it into the gac
2. added it to the machine.config:
<httpHandlers>
<add verb="*" path="*.sgf" type="CustomExtensionHandler,
Extenders.CustomExtensionHandler, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=d831d925597c1031" validate="True"/>
</httpHandlers>

First a little background: I've written an httphandler to handle wildcard
extensions (i.e., I want to handle all URLs that come in rather than just
URLs w/ a specific file extension so I can give friendly names to various
dynamic web pages). To do this, I've written an httphandler and put it
in the web.config for my webapp (stored in the wwwroot\webapp directory).
It works great for the most part; I get to handle any URLs below my
webapp...

Hi,
I have a own HttpHandler running and configured like this in my web.config:
<add verb="*" path="subfolder/*.ashx" type="Class,Assembly"/>
Now, when turning cookieless Sessions on my HttpHandler is not working,
instead my second HttpHandler is invoked, which is configured for *.ashx
files.

I followed the example at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308001/EN-US/
and created my own HttpHandler.
Here is the code:
using System.Web;
namespace MyNameSpace
{
public class SyncHttpHandler: IHttpHandler

Hello Developers,
I have a following problem: I need to write a HttpHandler rewriting requests
like:
/Resource.axd?resid=1 to /someimage.gif
My HttpHandler is listed in the web.config, its ProcessRequest() method gets
called but I cannot get it to work.
If within IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest() method instead of RewritePath()
method I use Server.Transfer() it works in IE but FireFox instead of images

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
