Setting a configurable time-out setting for all the communication initiated with Remoting object.

Hi

I have .Net Service Component making a call to the Remoting
Component(Serve r Activated Singleton) through Remoting Client. I need to
set setting a configurable time-out setting for all the communication
initiated with Remoting object by the remoting client.

Please suggest me a solution regarding this.
Thanks

Say, I want to set a cookie and have it expire an hour after it's set. It's looking like this is only possible for browsers which are in the same time zone as my server?? In other words, if I set my cookie with: setcookie('CookieName', $SomeValue, time()+3600, "/");

am I doing this wrong: print (time.time() / 60) / 60 #time.time has been running for many hours if time.time() was (21600/60) then that would equal 360/60 which would be 6, but I'm not getting 6 so I'm not doing the division right, any tips?

Hi, Does DB2 provide NLS ( National Language Support) as a configurable parameter or a system register to get locale specific character/number representation. For example in Oracle, one may use nls_language to specify the language in which a particular scalar function may display the output, e.g. TO_NUMBER, TO_CHAR etc. Any information will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Varun Jain

Today’s question involves two time text boxes each set to a different time zone. Initially txtCurrentTime will be set to Pacific Time or system time. This will change with system time as we travel across the country. txtRaceTime will always be set to Central Time regardless of where we are in the US. At first I tried ‘Now() – “xx:xx:xx” but that produced an error. Anyway as we approach the east coast the ‘minus’ would need to be a...

Hi, We need a C++ beautifier, and due to the specific requirements of some of our developers, it has to be very configurable. After trying some free ones, we now realise that we might need to pay to get the options we need. We've tried AStyle - good, but not nearly configurable enough. We've tried GreatCode - very good - much more configurable, but still missing a few options

Hi All I would like to install the same Windows Service project on the same server under different names, one for each customer. I have been able to do it but I would like an expert opinion as to whether my solution is robust or whether there is a better way to do it. What I've been trying to do is to create a core project with different extension projects, one for each customer. I wanted to create a different Setup project for each...

I have a vs2005 solution containing about 5 projects, three of which have their own .settings files. When I deploy the application, I want all the settings to be in one place - configurable - presumably in an app.config file where I can edit them. The settings will be used by a windows service, filewatcher, database access application. How do I achieve this?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
