I think the closest equivalent would be DataSet.WriteXm l.

You might want to determine what the original code was trying to accomplish
with GetString. There may be a better way of accomplishing it with .NET.

Hi, Hope somebody can help because i've looked everywhere else fo ran answer. I'm connecting to an Access table with 100+ rows of data of approx 20 columns wide. I'm using getstring to "Quickly" display it in a table, but it's un-useably slow. Any suggestions? Thanks Seán

I have two(2) issues. I'm experiencing a little difficulty and having to resort to a work around. I already found one bug, although stated the bug was only in ODBC, which I'm not using. It appears to be in the OLEDB driver also. My connection was: conn.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & strPath & ";" & "Extended Properties='Text;HDR=NO;FMT=Delimited'"

I've run into a problem using this method that I have been able to work around, but I think that there is a more elegant way. I create an array of 256 bytes and use the SHBrowseForFolders API to retrieve a folder path into the array. When I use the GetString method, the length of the returned string is always 256, even if the actual path length is only 10.

I'm trying to read the exif info in a JPG image file. Reading the ImageDescription field (270) that contains "abcæåø" only reads the first 3 characters "abc". The field was written with ACDSee photo manager. // using the GetString method propItem = img.GetPropertyItem(270); img_desc = Encoding.UTF8.GetString(propItem.Value);

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
