I have an asp.net application which loads a Crystal Reports
ReportDocument, passes in parameters for selecting data from the
report's database connection, renders the report for previewing on the
client then allows the user to print the report on a networked printer.
To avoid having to launch an external application on the client I use a
server-side print method. When I call ReportDocument.PrintToPrinter the
report comes out fine but the...

Is there a way to print a report with out a report viewer loading? or do you
have to always run the report first then print it in the report viewer?
right now i am making a Crystal Reports document object and loading the
report into which also has a print method, but it has a bunch of parameters
for which i could never guess at like start and end page number etc...

Firstly, I'm VERY green on all this Crystal stuff - so please excuse my
ignorance. I see on other posts that to print a report without using
the viewer use:
Dim crReportDocument As ReportDocument
crReportDocument = New myCrystalReport()
crReportDocument.PrintOptions.PrinterName = "\\server\myprinter"
crReportDocument.PrintToPrinter(1, True, 1, 1)
When I display the report using the Viewer I pass it some parameters,

Hello,
I have an application that uses the version of CR.NET that came with VS.NET
2003. The CrystalReportViewer control prints the report fine when initiated
by the user on the form, but I have problems when I try to call PrintReport()
or PrintToPrinter(1, false, 1, 2).
Calling either meathod, I get the following error:
" '-1' is not a valid value for 'value'. 'value' must be greater than or

I have no problem printing to other network printers from Crystal report (in
VB.NET) using the following codes:
myReport.RecordSelectionFormula = mSelection
myReport.PrintOptions.PrinterName = printName

Hello, I have 7 different crystal reports that need to be collated.
Since I want to end up with a page of each (which all together make a
single report), I created a blank main report and then added the 7 as
subreports so they can print one after the other. I'm supposed to be
printing them from a VB.Net 2003 application and I will be passing 2
parameters (start and end dates). These reports are huge (over 1000+
pages each).
My original...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
