I am trying to end a session for a site without having to completely close
the browser to end it.
When I access the site and log in it works fine. If I log out and in with a
different account without closing the browser, I get the first session's
information. Also, if a open another browser and log in with a different
account I get the session from the first browser. I've tried deleting all
cookies and any cached pages, but still get the...

I'm using the following code in my global.asa file to set the
session.timeout value amongst other things -
Sub Session_OnStart
Session.Timeout = 40
Session("Authenticated") = 1
End Sub
Yet when I print out the value of session.timeout on a page after this
event has fired it returns 20 (I get the right value for

I have an asp application running on both iis5 and iis6. (not .net) The
server ruhnning IIS5 has no problem running my application. IIS6 randomly
times out WEB users. The session timeout is set for 60 minutes. I will
get timed out in iis6 in less than 5 minutes. Are there any other
settings that can be changed to stop this from happening

Hi,
I was wondering if for an application, I can change the default session
timeout property via IIS Administration? If so, how does one do it. Thanks in
advance.

First: There are several ways to confuse one regarding session timeout.
(1) web.config - <sessionState timeout="20">
(2) IIS Manager | Internet Information Services | ServerNode | Default Web Site |
Properties | Configuration | Options | Enable Session State
Session timeout 20
(3) within Global.asax.vb file - Session_Start subroutine can use
Session.Timeout=x minutes or
(4) within any web page, i.e., <web page>.aspx can use...

I support several intranet sites one of which had NO STATE. Even though
content has ASP extensions, it was all rendered HTML. Site had NO session or
application variables being managed. Site had no global.asa. IIS Manager
had site timeout set to 20 minutes.
We had to add an ASP include to pages, and that ASP include contained our
first session variable. Users then started complaining of timeouts and being
redirected to logout pages...

Hi,
I would like to know if there was a way to trap a session timeout on
an asp.net event. What I mean is that I've set a session timeout in
the web.config file. What I would like to do is when that timeout is
reached, I would like it to fire an event. Is there some event in the
global asax that could fire when the session normally ends. I need to
capture this to call a corresponding function during time lapse
timeout.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
