Hi,
I have MS SQL Server set up on a win2k box (and am running
my PHP scripts on the same box that
SQL Server is on) ... not connected to a network and
just using the command line version of PHP ... (no web server)
I set up ODBC with a DSN for the login and password I installed in SQLServer
I set up the DSN for "local" i.e. on the local server

We're having an issue here at school with trying to access a SQL
Server database from a .NET application. As a department, we roll out
a generic image to all of our lab computers. For some reason we were
getting "SQL Server does not exist or access denied" errors (
http://www.isy.vcu.edu/~cstewart/sqlerror.jpg ). One of the lab
machines in the lab worked fine and could connect without any issues.
As a quick fix, we re-imaged 3 of the...

I have a problem that involves the error I receive when attempting to
complete the asp.net web application example (Walkthrough: Creating a Web
Application Using a Third-Party Business Object). When I first create the
SQL connection in VS.NET 2003, I test the connection and everything works
fine. However, when I attempt to run the first stage of the app (the bound
datagrid), I receive an error stating:
login failed for user...

Having trouble using ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider with one specific
website. When attempting to login to the site, after a long period of time
(about 2 - 3 minutes), "Server Application Unavailable" message is returned.
If I switch the provider back to SQLServer everything works fine.
If I create a new simple Web Application and just add a Login.aspx page and
Default.aspx page, and nothing else, and add a Login Control everything...

I am having a number of problems over the last two full days trying to get
an ASP.NET 2.0 application to connect to a SQL Server 2005 database...
First off, I built this application w/ Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and had it
working perfectly on my Windows XP machine on SQL Server 2005 Express. I
decided to publish this application to a test development server (with both
the SQL and IIS servers on the same box) running on:
Windows Server...

OK, I know this has been a popular question from newbies. But, please
don't haste to reply yet.
I've googled and tested for a few hours, and cannot have this problem
resolved.
I have followed articles on the web and enabled "SQL Server and
Windows Authentication" for my SQL Server 2005. But, it does not
solve my problem. (It is actually my default setting for my SQL
Server)

I wrote an ASP.NET application that queries a SQL Server database (on a
different box from the web server) and displays the result in a GridView.
The datasource for the GridView is a SQLDataSource. Just to get it to work,
I hard-coded the username and password of a SQL Server account in the
connectionstring in web.config. Once I confirmed that this worked on the
web server, I wanted to remove the hard-coded password from web.config, so I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
