Is it possible to stop "Have you had a chance to check out ..."

Hi.

In my opinion the emails like "Have you had a chance to check out the
suggestions in my last reply..." kind of pollute this newsgroup.

It's like one day they would show up in hundreds and it's kind of annoying
to go through them.

Also in my opinion if the guy did not have a chance to check out the
suggestions then it's his/her problem.
And i am sure that if it did not work for him he would be the first to write
about it.

Thanks.
George.

cept it's good to know if it worked or not. I would hate to recommend the
same to another if it was wrong. I think that's the general reason people
post those.

A valid document. A well-formed document. To validate a document. To check a document for well-formedness...? I'm hardly the first writer to run into this problem. There seem to be no good verb for "check for well-formedness". Or did I just miss it? Are there any other words that has been used for this? Gustaf

Hi all.. I have a DataGrid with checkboxes. In the header I have a "check all" checkbox. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to check all checkboxes using that checkbox. I could do it using JavaScript code, but the main problem I have is that checkboxes ids aren't kept when the datagrid is rendered, for example, if the checkboxes have the name chkNumid, when the datagrid is rendered, the checkboxes become dgDataGrid_ctl02_chkNumId,

Greetings, I'm using the ASP.NET membership model in my site and everything works perfectly, locally. However when I uploaded my site (To my host which is GoDaddy), and ran it remotely the "Remember Me" check box was not working *at all*. What I mean is when I try to log in with "Remember Me" check box checked, the login fails completely and I'm taken back to the login page (Can't say I left it though :) ). When loggin in with this...

Hi, I have a row of 5 <DIVelements that have the "float: left" attribute as I wanted them on the same row. I issue a "clear: left" for the subsequent element. All looks great except if I increase the browser text size of contract the screen, the last DIV floats underneath. Is there anyway to stop this and keep all on the same row?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
