Ciao,
automaticamente all'inserimento di nuovi file.

Hi,
My application needs to calculate the sort order of an index key
(whether the index key is descending or ascending). The user may
connect to MS7 or MS2K servers.
As far as I know, the descending indices are supported in version 8
i.e SQL 2000. In MS2K, I can get the index key information by SELECT
INDEXKEY_PROPERTY(table_ID , index_ID , key_ID , IsDescending) which
returns 1 if key is descending. But as this is only for MS2K, it...

Under the domain publicpen.com I've several dozen sites in
subdiretories, such as www.publicpen.com/honenbeger. I've no trouble
with any of these sites. But under one, which I put in yesterday,
www.publicpen.com/staengl, when I point my browser there, the browser,
instead of showing me the index.htm pages like it should, it instead
tries to download it as an object. Why?
Below are the contents of index.htm. Does anyone see anythging...

Dear group,
we are running a SQL-Server Database which is about 30 GB large. The
purpose of this database is to contain periodic data from automatic
devices which insert values into some tables.
Unfortunately most of these tables don't have a key (and a key can only
be introduced when the application programmers have changed their
software). Tables have this structure

Helpful folks,
Most of my previous experience with DB2 was on s390 mainframe systems
and the optimizer on this platform always seemed very predictable and
consistent. Since moving to a WinNT/UDB 7.2 environment, the choices
the optimizer makes often seem flaky. But this last example really
floored me. I was hoping someone could explain why I get worse
response time when the optimizer uses two indexes, than when it uses
one. Some context:

I have the following sintax:
Select *
From Inventory
Where PartId = Coalesce(v_PartId, PartId)
this type of query is used within an store procedure that provide the
v_PartId parameter, the data type for PartId on the database is
CHAR(25) same for the parameter. The problem that I have is that this
query uses a FULL SCAN to the table instead of using the PartId index

Does this make sense for a logon table:
CREATE TABLE Logon
(
ID INT NOT NULL IDENTITY PRIMARY KEY,
name VARCHAR(15) NOT NULL,
password VARCHAR(15) NOT NULL
)
GO
CREATE UNIQUE INDEX IX_Logon_Name ON Logon(name)

I have a very very strange situation with a particular application and sql
server 2005 enterprise.
This application combines numerical data from multiple tables. User can make
query over this kind of tables, can build queries with "group by" "order by"
and "join", "sum, count(*) ecc. on many many columns.
I cannot know the query that application is going to build, so I do not know
how to create indexes.
I cant make indexes on all the...

Okay, so first of all, I'm a designer first and a light coder second (I'm only really trained with HTML and CSS). So I apologize for having to post about something that's probably super-trivial!
I'm working on setting up a shopping cart for a one-product web site, and I'm using HTML and CSS, with ASP for the shopping cart. The ASP takes the information from the form on the shopping cart, and formats it in to two e-mails: one for the company...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
