Datagrid not visible on page load

Hi Friends

I have bounded dataset to a datagrid on pageload event datagrid is not visible. Once the query fetches more than 0 rows based on the selection criteria, datagrid is visible.

If query fetches 0 rows the header part(column heading) of the datagrid occupies full datagrid position (mean height & width set at design time). I have set AllowPaging = True and Paging = 8. If query fetches lesser than 8 rows Header Templates & Item templates of the datagrid occupies entire grid

Can anyone help me to solve this problem
Thanks..

I have an aspx page where I use a reversebind and templates to edit the entire datagrid at one time. I added a textbox and button to change the parameter criteria and then rerun the databind2 procedure. That works fine the data is requeried and the new results are displayed in the datagrid and the reversebind works for saving the information. However if I add another text box or dropdown box it does not seem to requery correctly. If...

Hello, I'm trying to get the details out of a datagrid component and it works fine when I'm accessing the first page of the datagrid, but when I try to click on the details hyperlink for an item that is not on the first page, the web-page displays the first page of the datagrid again and show the details of the field on the same location, but on the first page. For instance, if I have the first page with the following data:

The DataGrid allows you to make columns visible or invisible on demand - even edit and other special columns. This article will show you how it is done. Some developers have reported problems controlling the visibility of columns in the DataGrid control. The problem usually comes down to one fact. The DataGrid has a property called AutoGenerateColumns. The default value is "True". This means that when AutoGenerateColumns is set to True,...

I have a datagrid populated with 6 visible read-only labels and several hidden fields. Below the datagrid, I have a table with various textboxes, dropdowns, etc. I've managed to decypher the client-side coding needed for the user to click a "select" button (HTMLButton) in column 0 of the datagrid and have the table objects auto-fill with corresponding values from the dataset row in the datagrid without making a roundtrip to the server. ...

I posted a message to this group yesterday asking how to pass parameters to a web form that is the source of an IFrame on a parent web form. I've gotten my answer, and it works. Thanks! Now I have a different problem. The web form that is in the IFrame has a DataGrid in it. I have a button column in it which I use to trigger the deletion of the row in the database, and I want it to also reflect that deletion in the data grid. The...

Hi. I already have a datagrid where I'm using paging. I have a stored procedure that fills a temp table with 200-500 rows and then sends back 10 records at the time. When I go to page 2 the SP fills the temp table again and returns rows 10-19. The temp table is dropped after each call to the SP, so it has to be created and filled every time the user changes page in the datagrid. My question is this: Would it be more efficient to...

Is there a way to carry data that I have already read from the datagrid from page to page? I am looking at my Datagrid that I page through and when the user says get the next page, I have to go to the database to get the next page. Is there a way to use the dataset to allow us to read back and forth in it instead of going back to the database to get it? Thanks,

I have a DataGrid which displays data with the aid of a procedure. I have tested the procedure inside the database and it is working fine. The table inside the database has data that matches with the parameter. I have another procedure which adds another row to the table, which is working fine inside the programming, and in the database. However, I still cannot figure out what am I doing wrong with the DataGrid configurations OR...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
