I'm contemplating switching from Windows (long time user) to a
Macintosh (a system I know virtually nothing about), so I am
looking for equivalent (or better) programs for some tasks.
I do a little hobby web site (380 pages - maybe it expanded more
than I thought) using The Semware Editor (an old DOS editor) with
some HTML color coding add-ons, and CSE HTML validator to catch
typos, backed by validator.w3.org (when I remember).
At the...

I am getting the following error message reported for
Macinstosh end users only:
"The viewstate is invalid for this page and might be
corrupted"
The server is not on a web farm.
Can you please suggest a fix or workaround?

Greetings,
I'm hoping someone has experienced a problem I'm having:
I have an existing ASP application (working fine) that
uses an SSL server certificate. My user community is made
up of both PC's and Macintosh computers.
I've re-written this application in ASP.NET for a number
of reasons and now find that my Mac users are having
problems with the application. SSL works just fine for PC

The public site I maintain is gathering the following 500 error:
"The viewstate is invalid for this page and might be corrupted"
Strangely enough, the only users seeing this error are Macintosh users,
using IE. The problem is not isloated to a single page, it seems to be
happening on any page, but not necessarily every page for that user. In some
cases it is clear that the user was getting around fine (they were logged in
as members to...

I have an ASP application that works fine locally but when it's uploaded occasionally, I get viewstate errors. Another thing is that the viewstate for that page is disabled. There are cases where I can just refresh the page and it goes through ok
<%@ Page Language="VB" EnableViewState="false" Debug="true" %
The worker threads are set to one, however, it is running on a dual processor web server. The Load Balancer is not installed. What...

We have managed to lock down 99% of the application errors occurring in our
asp.net sites. The only errors which occur on a regular basis now are
viewstate errors. We have disabled viewstate on the majority of pages but
kept them where absolutely necessary, such as shopping carts, adding items,
etc.
Also we've made sure the following have been met:
EnableViewStateMac = false
Disabled viewstate on all controls which are unnecessary...

I get sporadic viewstate errors from Macintosh browsers. I get mailed the
form values when this happens, and it appears that the problem is the
encoding of the POST value from the browser. Something like:
__EVENTTARGET=&__EVENTARGUMENT=&__VIEWSTATE=dDwxOTk2NDc2Nzk0OztsPFQ<more
stuff cut out>hM%3d&T%3aH%3aR%3aAToken=&T%3aH....
As you may see, the arguments after viewstate are just a mess. The browser
seems to be escaping stuff it...

Hello,
I have a page with two link buttons. When I click on the first one I call
server.execute("target.aspx") to view target.aspx on the original page.
Then I click on the second link button and in this case I redirect to
another page, HOWEVER, I get Invalid ViewState exception. I know the problem
stems from server.execute but don't know why. Any Ideas?
Thank you.

I have an app that was originally 1.1, now migrated to 2.0 and have run into
some sporadic viewstate errors...usually saying the viewstate is invalid,
eventvalidation failed or mac error.
My web config does specify a machinekey setting:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
