all,
i am trying to use the function round() which I found through google
to be declared in math.h (
http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/manual/html_node/Rounding-Functions.html).
this function does not work and i get an unreferenced symbol error. the
function rint() works when math.h is included.
is round() not found in all math.h files? if so what might be an
alternative. i work on a machine that runs a sparc-sun-solaris operating
system...

Hi all,
just wanted to know how can I just quickly round to nearest
100th, and use the first two decimal places of a double value in a textbox,
instead of all the decimals.
Thanks in advance,
Carlos

Hi all,
I have learnt that if I want to round 0.5 to an integer the result should be
1, This is also the case if I do it in SQL server 2000, but if I do it in
VB.NET the result will be 0.
Other rounding results: 1.5 = 2 in SQL and 2 in VB.NET which I believe is
corrrect
2.5 = 3 in SQL and 2 in VB.NET which I believe is wrong.

I'm having a problem understanding the Round function. Below are quotes
from two
books on VB.NET. The first book shows examples with one argument and
how it
rounds. The second book something different.
Programming Microsoft Windows with Microsoft Visual Basic.NET
"The Round method with a single argument return the whole number nearest
to the argument. If the argument to Round is midway between two whole
numbers,

FAQ Topic - How do I format a Number as a String with
exactly 2 decimal places?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
When formatting money for example, to format 6.57634 to
6.58, 6.5 to 6.50, and 6 to 6.00?
Rounding of x.xx5 is uncertain, as such numbers are not
represented exactly. See the section on "simple decimal arithmetic"

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
