I have a console app that creates a file and I want to save it to the bin
directory of the project. How can I have the file save there as default?
My code looks like this:
fileName.SaveAs("testfile.txt");
it's going to document settings -- my documents and saving it there. I need
to save it in the bin folder of the project so my printing process can pick

I want to get the location of the bin directory, where
the ASP.NET dll files live before they are shadow-
copied.
System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly() only
shows the shadow copy location, which is not what I want.
Thanks.

I need to incorporate several aspx pages into an existing website. The
target structure looks like this:

I have a simple asp.net page, NET 1.1, and no web.config file.
I place the main assembly source in following directory:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\cryptonet
I link in a referenced COM interop assembly via:
<%@ Assembly Name="Interop.CAPICOM" %>
<%@ Import Namespace="CAPICOM" %>
and originally, I had placed the assembly in the following application
bin subdirectory:

Hi All,
I have written a HTTP Module (Auth.dll) to authenticate pages in a
virtual directory. The virtual directory points to a network path (per
se \\net1\web). Now I have to place the compiled HTTP Module Auth.dll
and supporting dll's in \\net1\web\bin folder, and copied the
web.config to \\net1\web. I am getting security error when I try to
access the pages from the virtual folder. If I remove the HTTP module
it works fine. This...

Hi folks,
Appologies if this question is either a) stupid; or b) asked every ten
minutes :)
I manage several websites that are all based on the same code, so they all
have a /bin directory that contains the same .dll files. When I make
changes to the code behind these dll files I have to reupload the same dll
files to each of the bin directories for each of the sites - obviously this
is a PITA!

i want to be able to load a dll from the bin folder, but want a mechanism
that will work without directly specifying \bin, even with changes that come
with vs 2005.
i know i can use Request.ApplicationPath and then append \bin to it, but
don't want this method to break later if the compiled dll files don't always
go there.
is there a method i can call that gets the location of the dll file
directly?

What is the path of the original bin directory for asn ASP.NET 2.0
application?
System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetName().CodeBase
That does not show me the original location (where some config files
are), it shows the dynamically-compiled location. The aboev code gave
the original place in Framework 1.1
Thanks.

is it possible to locate this special bin folder other than web-site\bin ?

Apache 2.x on FreeBSD running multiple virtual domains with one IP #
ScriptAlias defined in /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf
is =ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "/usr/local/apache2/cgi-bin/"
which is the default
I wished to define a proprietary cgi-bin for a specific single domain
which I defined within its virtual domain directive, but it did not work.
Could someone say what I am doing wrong.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
