Reading and updating XML Files

Hi All
I am developing a very complex application that hosts UserControl in IE Browser.Usercon trol has treeview and datagrid control basically. The data is in xml file and which is hierarchical located on serverI have written a webservice which reads an xml file to get the data and passes to UserControl's Treeview and datagrid control.I have to give users ability to edit, delete contents from the datagrid and treeview control and after they r done modifying content and click save option all the information should get saved in xml format and then passed to webservice which in turn passes xml file to other component who reads an xml file and save it to database. My problem is I can't use Dataset object as it doesn't read hierarchical xml file so I don't know how to maintain an xml file and whatever user modifies save that locally before tells to "save"
this is very urgent ..please advice.

My App has 10 or so tables that we provide that contains proprietary data. This data will need to be updated once or twice a year. I would like some comments, suggestions on my proposed strategy for updating these tables via an ftp site: 1) Post a .mdb file to our ftp web site that contains the updated tables. My App code connects to the ftp site and gets the file name for any update files on the site. I already have code to do this...

Hello all, anybody knows if there's some ANSI-C conformant code around that can read Windows-style .ini files ? I don't care about writing to it but I need to be able to read it from various OSs, so there shouldn't be any Windows includes. It doesn't look like it's too hard to do, but there are a few tricks (like multiple line strings), so I'd love to save some time (who doesn't). -- Guillaume Dargaud

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
