asp.net date/time formats

Guys
Anyone know how to go about customizing the display of the date/time
formats?
This is related to Dreamweavers binding panels but if their is more
fundemental info available for this I cant find it.

Typically im trying to do the following:
In the table the date is recorded, as an example: 09/03/2003
How can i display this on an asp.net page as say Sep 09 2004
Note Short month name.

regards
Andy

I'm investigating a bug a customer has reported in our database abstraction layer, and it's making me very unhappy. Brief summary: I have a database abstraction layer which is intended to mediate between webapps and arbitrary database backends using JDBC. I am very unwilling indeed to write special-case code for particular databases. Our code has worked satisfactorily with many databases, including many instances MS SQLServer 2000...

I would like to use the timestamp on files to manage the currency of support files for my VB windows application. In this case I would only put the timestamp of the file in the management database and not the file itself. To do this I will need to have a File class property for Create time and date that will let me "set" the Create time and date of the file to my own chooseing. The VB file class does not appear to have the ability

I have a gridview that's being populated from an access db query. The problem I'm having is that the date/time fields in access that are populating the gridview are showing both date and time, when the field should only be showing one or the other (date or time). Even on the back end of the database where the column properties are, I have chosen the smallest date/time formats. When the aspx page runs, it shows the date and time (ie:in a...

Hi, I need to convert the current time to the format "hh:mm:ss" and date to the format "yyyy-MM-dd". The result of both conversions needs to be of System.DateTime format. I've tried using DateTime.ParseExact and DateTimeFormatInfo but failed, most examples I see convert the final result to a string... I dont want that!

Hello all, General question for back-end database that has numerous date fields where the database will be used in regions that put the month first, and regions that do not. Should I save a date format in the table design, such as: mm/dd/yyyy? What I've done for years is to store the date format in date fields, then on the forms, based on their region, I would set the date formats on form_load

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
