I'd like to write a PHP script to be used from the command line on a
Unix machine. I'd like for the script to put together a string, turn it
into a web page, print it, then return control the command line.
Obviously it is quite easy to make a string that is valid HTML and send
it to the printer. The tough part is making look like a web page. In
particular, image tags should print out as images, not image tags.
Does anyone have an idea...

I'm trying to implement XHTML standards in my ASP.NET web pages but
whenever I use web controls I get problems because of the very strict
nature of W3C XHTML (transitional version is picky but strict1.1 very
severe!)
e.g. align="Center" fails validation because of the capital "C" - this
makes asp:Calendar control unuseable because it happens to use this
tag for each of the cells. Also Javascript tags require a 'type'
attribute...etc

I need to generate a "buy" button as part of an ASP.NET page - this consists
of a small HTML form with hidden fields, conforming to the requirements of a
merchant credit card processor. PayPal is similar.
I'm succeeding in doing this by using Writer.Write to emit my HTML, at least
as far as getting it to work.
However, depending on where I put MyBase.Render(Writer), I get my HTML
either before the header or after the end of the body of...

Technically speaking, this issue is not about modifying the HTML
generated by server controls but preceding the HTML generated by
server controls with an HTML control generated on the basis of the
type and the context of the server control itself. Clear as mud? :-)
Consider the following server control...
<asp:textbox id="MemberEmail" runat="server" ></asp:textbox>
TextBox renders at run-time as an HTML control...
<input...

Hi Folks.
So I have a small problem. My DoPostBack function is not writen to
the HTML page nor are the asp:buttons calling the DoPostBack.
My Goal is to create a totaly dynamic web page where the server
generates the HTML based on a passed in parameter. In our case,
CustomerID. Every Customer ges a branded website with there logos and
webpage etc.. To Avoid having 1 ASP.Net application running for each
client I am attempting a more...

Hi,
I'm looking for samples of ASP.NET projects where the programming has been
done almost entirely using codebehind and classes with very little code in
the aspx files themselves.
I would like to be able to write ASP.NET pages where I represented the
elements on the page entirely with classes in codebehind (let's call them
RenderClasses). The idea would be that each of these classes would have a
Render method which would cause the...

Subject: Can I Use HTML Text Writer i a Custom Control to Render the <head>
Section?
Date: Wednesday, January 18, 2006 11:38 AM
I would like to create a custom control that generates everything that will
be in the <head> </head> section.
This would allow me to make changes on all pages withing a site in one
location.

I am working on a complex server control that dynamically creates an
HtmlInputHidden control that stores its value. As far as the postback
process is concerned, this hidden input acts as the control itself. So
when I render, I generate a proxy HtmlInputHidden like so:
protected virtual void Render(HtmlTextWriter writer)
{
HtmlInputHidden hiddenInput = new HtmlInputHidden();
hiddenInput.ID = ClientID;
hiddenInput.Name = UniqueID;

I am sure this is an easy question, but being relatively new to ASP.NET
programming, I can not quite grasp what I need to accomplish what I
need to do.
What I have is a word document that is rendered as a page (or actualy a
part of a page) that is editiable. To do this I let the user download
the document, edit it and then upload it back to the site. Then at
Page_Open, I convert the .doc file to an html and render it back to the
page......

Hi group,
the aspx statement :
<asp:TextBox ID="testTB" runat="server" Text="My test" />
generate html :
<input name="testTB" type="text" value="My test" id="testTB" />
Imagine I want to create a custom web control, extending the TextBox
control to add a custom hidden value.
Something like :

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
