DataGrid going blank on edit

I'm thinking this is simple, but...

I added an Edit/Update/Cancel column to a DataGrid. Any time I hit the
edit/Update/Cancel button the grid returns blank (no rows returned but the
header and footer).

My EditCommand code looks like this (pretty simple):

DataGrid2.EditI temIndex = e.Item.ItemInde x;
DataGrid2.Selec tedIndex = e.Item.ItemInde x;
DataGrid2.DataB ind();

any ideas?

Thank you.

Hi Chris,

Do you have a EditItemTemplat e defined in your <ASP:DataGrid >? If not,
ASP.NET might not know what to render in Edit mode for your particular
DataGrid.

Trying to figure out the technique which should be used to add rows to a datagrid. I am thinking that I would want an "Add" button on the footer, but I am not quite sure how to do that. Is that the best method? Do you have a sample of how to do this?

I've seen a few posts on this issue, but no clear solutions. I have a mulitiline textbox inside a datagrid. I use TemplateColumn to define as multiline with 3 rows. I have other field types like drop downs that have no issue displaying last values in edit mode with seemingly more complicated code. when I attempt to find my textbox with

If I have a datagrid and the bound data file only have 4 rows in it, the grid will show the 4 rows. However, there is blank space below that until it reaches the bottom of the grid. Is there a way to have a fixed number of rows regardless of what data is in the bound table? Thanks, Aaron -- --- Aaron Smith

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
