User profile [Computer name]\ASPNET

Hallo,

After installing the dot-NET framework on my PC, I see that a new user
profile has been created. I wouldn't bother if that would be just a new
'user' created, but why the whole profile? Do I need this profile or I can
go to Control panel / System / Advanced / User profiles and delete it? I do
all my PC needs from one single profile, and I don't need to hold more than
one. The ASPNET profile is also somewhat differently registered in the file
system - under the "C:\Documen ts and Settings", first there is a folder
named by local computer name, and then there is a folder "ASPNET", that
holds the different profile folders like "Applicatio n Data", "Desktop", and
all that.

Thanks,

I created a walkthrough and couldn't connect to my sql server. I looked up the problem and MSDN told me to create an ASPNET "User" in SQL Svr. It worked, but is that right? Do I have to do that for web projects. How does that user relate to the other users? I'm not seeing the logic. I thought maybe a "Role" that I could assign all users...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. For...
