Hi All
I am developing a web application in .Net technology. Usually, I create a
DLL for all of my modules to protect the logics. And it is possible to
decompile the DLL.
How do I protect DLL created using VISUAL STUDIO.NET 2002. I want to secure
component design. Give me some professional techniques to secure the codes.
Any 3rd party software must not be able to decompile it.

I have a large soultion 20+ projects C++ MC++ and C#. When I hit F5 no
matter what. It checks to see if it needs to build every project.
"projectX" is up to date. It takes like 10 seconds. I know other
people must of had this problem. Does anyone have a solution, Aside
for turning off projects in the configuration manager?

I have an app. that uses an MSDE database. I hardcoded the login and
password in the application, but it is very simple to see with an ILDASM.exe
tool.
Is it any procedure to obscure the hard coded connection string, or how can
I connect to the database with an encrypted password?

I have Visual Studio 2005, it comes with community edition of
dotfuscator. I'd like to use dotfuscator in a post-build event.
However, I get an error when I call dotfuscator. I can run it from the
command line and it always pops up a gui even when \q option is used.
Is there a way to get dotfuscator community edition to work as a
post-build event? Also, is there a way to get it to run from the
command line...

Apparently there are plenty of utilities out there that can dissasemble my
progam. My colleague found a progam that could read my exe file and show
all my source code! In any language (even though I wrote it in VB). It is
kinda scary. Interestingly, I had a DLL written for me in VC++, and the
utility could not reverse engineer that.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
