Why would "smartnavigatio n" work on some .net servers and not others.

smart navigation should work across servers...
cause i think it uses javascript to mark the postion prior to postback....
so that i cant be positioned back....
would say it could be a browser issue rather than a server issue...

Do the servers you are uploading to have the smart navigation javascript
files?

Check to make sure the smartnavigation .js file is placed in the correct
directory on the server. That is most likely your problem.

I would like to add a feature to one of my network programs.
The requirement is to find out if a server is alive by sending
it requests. I know of the standard ICMP ping, and searched
for python modules able to 'PING'. The only hit I got was Jeremy
Hiltons ping package, written for Python 1.4, and it does not
work with the latest Python versions (2.0 upwards).
Are there other ways of finding out (in a few lines of code)
whether a server...

Hi there,
This is actually (probably) a C# or .NET issue. I'm working on an VS 2005
AddIn and at one point I'm caching all "EnvDTE80.ErrorItem" objects that
result from compiling one or more projects in an arbitrary solution (which
my own code carries out). These objects simply store each warning, error or
other message as seen in the "Error List" window in VS (when you build a
solution). Later on, when I attempt to look at the...

Hi,
First of all, I am looking for a way to force the execution of a php
script to explicitly stop when told to do so by the client
connection. I know when you hit the browser stop button php normally
stops, but it doesn't stop immediately (ie. if the script is in a
loop, it will keep going for a bit). Also, I am looking for a way to
force php to stay alive, even if the connection to the client drops.
Finally, does anyone know of a...

Hello,
I have built an object which does some jobs on a particular server.
There can have lots of this object running concurrently.
I want to know what is the best way to optimize my application:
- keep all those objects alive in memory without any timeout (the object is
built one time per user, then disposed when the user exits).
- as I can rebuild the object, I can build the object, execute the job once,
then dispose this object each...

Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
