I am curious if there is something that would be considered a proper
method for locating small (three to four items) amounts of page specific
styling. Or does it really matter in the great scheme of things?
I have a linked style sheet that covers everything I want to do
globally. What should be done if I want to change and/or add a couple of
divs and paragraphs on a specific page and the style applied is specific
to that one page?

I may be thinking about this the wrong way, but here goes:
In my style sheet I've specified that bullet points should use a
specific image rather than just be default bullet points. However, at
some later point in the text I don't want to use the bullet point with
an image, but rather use the standard bullet point. Is it possible to
switch off a style sheet instruction for an individual instance? Or do
I need to define a new style...

Cascading Style Sheet is an extreme hazard to your privacy. It
allows others on the internet to see your monitor and files. It allows
them to copy images on your monitor to their computers. It also allows
them to copy files from your computer to their's. It is dangerous.
Avoid at all costs.
CSS that isn't stored in the victim's computer. Instead it is stored in
the perpetrator's PC. What it does is it reads everything on the
victim's...

Are there any guidelines or conventions for how to organize the
preferred and alternate style sheets for a site, sheets for
different media, and what titles to give them in the
<link rel="(alternate )stylesheet" title="..." ... />
element?
For example:
Are there user agents that have problems with characters like space or
apostrophe in the title? Are there user agents that can be configured

I've been playing with drupal, building a web site (hyc-test.org). I
started with the "sky" theme, but didn't like the way it rendered list
items in menus.
Spcifically, it started with:
list-style-image: url(../../misc/menu-expanded.png);

Hello everyone. I’d like to know how to handle multiple style sheets. I have css tabs that have a style sheet and then I also have a separate style sheet for the content that goes inside the tab.
The problem I am running into is that the tab style sheet uses attributes in the html and body and so does the content style sheet. Each one is specific to its content. The tab style sheet seems to take precedence over the content style sheet because...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
