Holding Page for when Application Domain dies?

Hi,

does anyone know whether it is possible to have a holding page
for when an application domain dies and give the "503" error, we would
like to replace that error a holding page. Can some one point me in
the direction of the solution please.

Many thanks,

phil

Your question does not make sense as stated. First, define "an application
domain dies," as that is not terminology for anything, except to you. Also,
what do you mean by "give the "503" error"? Where are you seeing this error?
If you don't know the correct term for something, that's okay, just give
enough description of it to help us figure out what you're talking about,
rather than short invented terms.

lol sorry, i must of been day dreaming

Well we have had a situation where the application pool dies for a
website, the the client sees "service unavailable" message, but
ideally we want to change it to a static file so they dont see that
message but a custom one. Does that make more sense?

Thanks,

phil

The following is a bug I have discovered using tab pages and threads and I am looking for a workaround. Create a new Windows Forms application and add a tab control with two tab pages. Add a label to each tab page. On the first tab page add a button. When the button is pressed the code behind the button creates a thread and starts that thread. The only thing that the thread is to do is to switch from the first tab page to the 2nd tab...

Hi - I'm trying to get my ASP.NET pages to work the same way on my development machine (running from the VS.NET IDE) and on a remote (3rd-party) server. The only way I've been able to come up with requires changing the page directive for each page between codebehind (for the IDE) and src (for the remote server). While that's a bit annoying for a single page, it's a pretty untenable approach for a website with lots of pages. Is there...

Hi All We are getting the warning messages below several times a day in the app event logs on our Win2k3 server. Thanks for your help

Hi all, Maybe this is a simple problem found in ASP.NET 2.0 course 101, but I must have missed it. When I create a page in Visual Web Developer and use URLs like "/images/picture.gif " or a link like <a href="../../Search/page.aspx">, everything works fine as long as I publish the site to a root web like http://localhost. However, I am developing on my local C drive in c:\development\project. I

Hello, I have build a website with approximately 30 html-pages. When I search this website in Google, I see the index.html or home.html on this website, but also other html-pages on this website. When I click in Google on one of these pages (not index.html or home.html), I am only linked to that one html-page and not to the website itself. Does anyone know how to fix this. Is there for example a metatag? Thanks

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
