Hi All
I have been trying to add a control to the header cell of
a datagrid on my ASP.NET page. These controls are defined
in the HTML as ASP.NET web controls.
They are being added into the header of the datagrid in
the "ItemDataBound" method of the grid. However, once,
they are added in the grid, i seem to lose the event
handler for the same control. Is there anyone who has
tried this before and knows why this is hapenning ??

HELP!
Its taken me ages - I'm a newbie and I've compiled bits of code that I've
read in this newsgroup over time to create one of my most intricate
functions to date...
Basically, the script gets called with a single arguement (full path to an
image). The image is supposed to be downloaded to the cache, and when
complete, a new window opened that is slightly larger insize then the images
dimensions... The new window will contain the...

Hi
I would like to add controls to my page at runtime.
What containers can I use to host the controls?
I know I can add them to the form controls collection, but I need to have
control on where they are placed. For example I would like a page header and
footer, menu on the left, text on the right and an area in the middle where
I can add the controls, with the area sizing dynamically.
Hope you can suggest some options.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I understand that a control can be created dynamically in several ways:
1) using StringBuilder
2) using Controls.Add
3) using ASP PlaceHolder
But this is just for the controls and not for the form itself.
What I am trying to achieve is to create an entire form (including controls)

Hello,
After trying some ways to do it I wanted to use something like the code
below but for some reason
is not working (I have to generate the entire form dynamically (not only the
controls)):
Can anyone make any suggestions on how to do it ?
Thanks

Hello, all. We're building a Web app where we can have any number of
questions, which can contain any type of form element -- check boxes, text
fields, radio buttons, dropdowns, etc. We'd like to build an admin page so
someone can create the questions and store them on SQL Server. The responses
from those questions need to then be stored on the database. Is this
possible or is it just a pipe dream? If possible, is it so complicated that...

Hi I have 2 data grids and several controls on a web page. The grids will
vary in size, just wondering if the lower grid could be covered by part of
the upper grid depending on its size or is there a way to dynamically shift
the lower grid so it appears just below the upper grid?
Thanks.

HI I have some controls under a datagrid and the datagrid can have 1 to 10
items. I would like to place some other controls just below the datagrid so
need to somehow dynamically place the controls when the page loads. Any
sample code or ideas?
thanks.

I've created a ASP.NET control that displays a "book" of schedules.
It dynamically displays scheduling times and allows the user to page through the schedules. It also lets the user edit the schedule times if the user has permissions to edit schedules.
When the user is not editing, or the user is not allowed to edit, the buttons that let the user edit are not displayed. If the user is allowed to edit schedules but they are not editing a link...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
