How to bind a db image column (byte array) to a datagrid column?

How can one bind a database image column (the byte array - not the path) to
a datagrid column?

The closest thing I have found so far is this January 2002 statement by Dino
Esposito:
"Likewise, an image column could be adapted to load the bits, and not the
path, of the image directly from a blob database field. I'll reserve this
particular topic for a future column."
Thanks,

Jim

this is only supported by netscape, mozilla, opera and other html 4.0
complaint browsers, not IE.

<img src = 'data:image/gif;base64,<%#
System.Convert. ToBase64String( Container.DataI tem) %>' >

The code below implements two datagrid columns that display images. The first column is just a test that always displays the same image directly from a file. The second column pulls the image from the dataset. The datagrid contains several additional columns that are not seen here because they are automatically generated and bound to the dataset. All columns work except the second image column, which attempts to bind to the dataset. When...

In VB.NET, I can successfully bind a generic datagrid to a 1 dimensional array. But, now I want to add a button column, and so I think I need to make the first column (the one having data in the array) a "BoundColumn" and the 2nd column my button column. The problem is that the BoundColumn wants a DataField name. There is none! So how do I bind this one column to the array column when the array doesn't have column names? And if your...

I have a web service method that returns an array of custom objects marked serializeable with fully described public properties. When I bind the results to a DataGrid I can access the properties in the ItemDataBound event of the codebehind but I can't access them declaratively in the HTML code? Here is the code to call the method. net.mysite.www.WSInterface proxy; proxy = new net.mysite.www.WSInterface();

I have examined about 80+ different upload scripts on the 'net, both in VB and C#, and none seem to do what I need them to do. Perhaps someone here can point me somewhere that Google hasn't reached yet (I have gone all the way to page 50 on Google's results!!). Here are my requirements: • I have a DataGrid. Everything will be done from here. Everything. No exceptions. Everything will also be done in VB, without any code-behind to...

I'm caching a dataset in an asp.net session variable to hold a user's data. one data item I need to store is an image the user uploaded. My problem is that I don't know how to get the image into the dataset because I don't know what datatype to set the dataset column and then set this image to. I saw an example where someone defended a datatable in the global class and defined the column as an object, however, when I define a strongly...

Hi, I'm using the ASP.NET 2.0 profile system to keep an image of members of my website "MyWebsite". Initially, I've created the property in the web.config like: <add name="Photo" serializeAs="Binary" type="System.Byte" > Doing so, the binary data was saved in the "PropertyValuesBinary" column in "aspnet_profile".

Hello, So I've read many forums that explained how to get an image out of SQL Server database and display it. I used an alternate .aspx page to retrieve the image and write it back as binary which everyone on many sites said to do. The problem is its not working. My exact situation is that I am creating News Articles based on news entries which are either text or pictures. I want to display a picture in the datagrid if there is one....

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
