How to improve the asp.net application's performance?

hb
Hi,

I have a asp.net web application written in C#. The application is backed
by a SQL Server 2000 database. At current time, it's very slow. I guess
there
are problems on asp.net coding, stored procedure coding and database
design.

Would you please tell me the right steps to find out those spots
that pull back the performance.?

Thank you

Hi, I hope this post will find it's way to some MS technical authority... I am experienced with bought Unmanaged C++ and Managed code ( C# ), There are some issues with the .NET framework that make me wonder... Take in mind the following points: 1. Managed objects are managed by the GC through the managed heap. 2. The GC moves the physical data representation of managed objects to

I have 2 questions relating to website design in asp .net: 1. In a website that I am building I have everything as a user control. Even the header, which contains the navigation tabs is in a user control which is placed on every page. Originally, the reason why I chose to do it this way (instead of placing the header in a master page) is because my header tabs change dynamically based on who the user is. My question is, am I losing...

Hello I'm no PHP expert, and I'm reading "Building scalable web sites". In the tips section, the author mentions using templates to speed things up. I was wondering how the template engines manage PHP pages that contain calls to MySQL: In our application, the data returned is different for most users, so the resulting page has different contents. So why do templates (and opcode cache) improve performance? Thank you.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
